  1. We should do a poll. 🙂 You're right. In real the block looks more red than on the pics. Plus I found the original add from this bass (pre-previous owner) and there was written that it's alder...
  2. Ok. You are second to say so. But it has this red-ish colour that I know from alder. But maybe you're right. I'm no expert on woods. Thank's anyway!
  3. I found the old add. It's Fodera/Duncan Dual coils and it's definitely alder tone block.
  4. Ok, I was told it was alder. I don't know who made the pick ups. But the bass was custom ordered with these.

  7. I had the string only for one week on my bass. Max. playing time 3-4 hours. For my french bass they are (for my taste) a bit too mid-frequency emphasized. I think they would work great for dark basses to feature the mid frequencies and the high frequencies to get a nice pizz tone. They do supply a nice bassy tone. Imho not suited well for arco. I ordered them from Gollihur Music für 148,- USD plus customs/VAT and shipping https://gollihurmusic.com/7710t-white-nylon-tape-wound-upright-bass-strings/ I shot a short video (iphone) so you can get an impression. I'll send you the link upon request.
  8. I had the chance to play that bass a while ago and I can assure that it is the absolute bomb.
  9. Lowered price again and opened up for trades
