1. Played The Watering Hole on Perranporth beach on Saturday night. 7 hr drive to get there and 8 hrs to get back today after spending a few days there. Fantastic mob there - great guvnor/staff and crowd going bonkers from 2nd song in the 2nd set. Had to have a big scary security guy sat on the front of the stage to keep the mob at bay!!!!! Never had that before:-) Stage pyros malfunctioned and went off at random times thru the 2nd set - had to be a bit quick on the move when i felt my back burning. Made it pretty interesting. Most enjoyable gig ive ever done and we're back there for August Bank Holiday. Cant wait. Band is called Yellowhouse. Playing all over the SE of England till Christmas. Hi Energy Rock Covers. Available for all sorts of bookings but we dont do quiet or boring. Own 6k PA, lasers, lights and pyros. ;-)
2. Sold to the pup!!!! Pete is highly recommended - great chap. Thanks.

I had a series 6 AH200 head with the GP12 graphic. Never any trouble and sounded good. Recommended.
5. Hallo mate - i'm in Sheering. Go mountain biking in Epping Forest regularly too!
6. I forgot to mention that Si let me have his unwanted Peavey footswitch and wouldnt even accept postage. Top bloke and building up a lot of goodness for later!
7. Songster is pretty useful for tabs
8. I had one of those around that time - pretended it was a Bass Machine 250! Plugged an extension cab in and it blew up though :-(
9. Cheers guys It was more for adding some thump and headroom rather than outright volume
10. Have a Peavey 2x10 combo running a 4ohm internal speaker at 350watts with the capability for an extension speaker at 4 ohms to take it down to 2 ohms and 500 watts. Would i be able to add an 8 ohm cab without damaging the amp? Just want to biggen up the sound with a 12" cab and theyre not easy to find at 4 ohms. Dont need the full 500 watts really. Any thoughts?
11. If its the one in Gillingham with the sticker on, it sounds a bit too good to be true. Check everything out including the truss rod. Theres a link below which id's it as an early Czech model with a generic preamp and EMG HZ pups. http://www.spectorbass.com/about/model_years_4E.html
12. NOW SOLD Due to a new Spector arriving this week i have to thin the herd. Up for sale is a Spector Performer 4 DLX bass. I have now bought 2 more basses so its surplus to requirements and must be sold. [s]£150[/s] £135 now!!!!! collected Gig Bag and super comfy leather padded strap included Spector Performer 4 DLX. Matte Black finish with flamed body and matte black hardware. 4 strings. Passive. EMG SSD pickups x 2 (slightly more middy than standard EMG's) Brand new strings - never been played. 1 tiny mark on the top of the headstock but otherwise immaculate finish. Bridge pickup volume knob has the tiniest amount of play - guessing it just needs a tighten up. Sounds lovely - punchy and clear with a nice sustain. Action set low and no problems with truss rods or neck problems. Matte finish neck. Any trial welcome - amp available in the house and tea provided (please bring cake) Collection only but could deliver London, Herts, Essex, Kent by arrangement and a bit of petrol money Located Herts/Essex border near Stansted Airport. 13. Terry just bought my TC amp today. Great bloke and a pleasure to do business with. Cheers Terry!
14. Hi Lefty The combo weighs 70lbs - its a bit more than some of the opposition which seem to come in around 50lbs - but because its sort of a taller, narrow shape it seems quite easy to grab and lift if you know what i mean. I was initially a bit sceptical about the weight when i bought it, but in reality it hasnt been an issue. It has 2 good high, side mounted steel handles. Re the contour controls - they both act as a scoop but with different parameters (prefer number 2 myself as it seems to give more of a rumble). You can also have them both switched out obviously for a middier tone. Im not familiar with the 450 for a direct comparison i'm afraid. It has loads of headroom. Ive never needed to have it above 3 in a rehearsal room with 2 guitarists and a loud drummer and there is no distortion or fartyness occuring even when you crank the bass up. The 15 definitely gives a bigger, warmer rounder sound than 10's for sure. It seems to be from the "set everything to zero then tweak a little bit" school. The TweeterTone makes quite a subtle difference to the tone as well as adjusting the tweeter level - it appears to round the sound a little as its reduced. Its a fantastic amp for the money and should see you through most gigs. Heres a link to the user manual http://www.tcelectronic.com/media/BG500_us.pdf and some blurb from TC with a few interesting video demos here http://www.tcelectronic.com/bg500.asp Cheers for the interest
