1.
After a period of let downs and depping, would love to put my mediocre talents back into a productive rock/pop covers band to get me out of the doldrums. Own transport plus more gear than sense so come on guys don't let me turn into a bedroom bassist...
Don't do yourself down, Mart. In my experience, the only people who sometimes view the mature musician with a slightly jaundiced eye are the young, gobby oiks who think they know it all and like to see themselves as god's gift to music. I know, I was one. Occasionally, despite having now moved into my second half-century, I still can be. Your continuing status as a productive musician is a badge of honour, which should be worn proudly. Potential employers will know you have experience and substance by the spadeful, and will be reliable, knowledgeable, and grateful! Some of the biggest and best gigs I have been privileged to do came along well after my 40th birthday... stick with it.

Too bad that you are too far away to check it out - or probably a good thing as I REALLY shouldn't be looking at basses!
Distance is no object, sir... I can send you the bass, and if it's not your cup of tea, just send it back within 7 days - you just have to send me a piffling £1150 first, of course, but that's a mere detail! Go on, you know you want to!

 9.
Does 5 knobs not seem a bit excessive for a 1 pup bass???? What do they all do? I really shouldn't even be remotely considering this, but out of interest where in Surrey doth it reside?
It's a bit of an array, I agree, but I promise you they all have a use! The five knobs are: 5-position coil tap selector (have a listen to the sounds on the YouTube link on the initial post) - these are the various permutations of the two? coils individually, together, in series, and parallel - I know that only makes 4, but I'm not sure exactly what the 5th position is, volume with active/passive push/pull, treble cut/boost, mid cut/boost, bass cut/boost. I'm just off the A3 between Woking and Guildford - PM me if you fancy coming over for a looksee.
 10.
I'd be interested, if my Overwater 6 string sells.
Very nice bass... someone will have it, but not me, unfortunately... I have enough trouble with 5 strings...
 11. Nice! I used to have a Caramel Burst one a few years back - this looks even prettier. A bump for a beaut of a bass...
 12. Still for sale, but seriously considering withdrawing it. I did a little set up and gave it a whirl through my main rig today, and it sounds great and plays so beautifully... be quick if you want it, before I change my mind about selling!
 13. YouTube clip passed 200 views... still for sale...
 14. Right, grit my teeth... FINAL price drop... £1150. If it doesn't go at this price, I'm keeping it! Actually, might be a good move for when my back finally goes...
 15. Did I mention that at only a whisker over 8 lbs, it's light as a feather, but with a big sound?? (Have a look at the YouTube clip at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iAhqQQHVrTE )
 16.
Scale length = String spacing at bridge = Thanks!
Scale length, 34", string spacing at the bridge, a comfy 19mm.... make me an offer - I might say yes!

 18.
I had a 751 in Vegas last year - brilliant. Paul Turner & Jimmy Sims swear by them too. A great choice methinks. N
...but does this mean I'll have to sell the bairn to buy an aggie 810, Nick??
 19.
You are gonna love it, I'm sure. After having played Ampegs, GKs, Ashdowns....I've been using a DB751 for a few months now and, for me, it's the best amp ever! I've played both and I pefered the tone on the 751, the change they did to the Mids has made a big difference, not saying I didn't like the 750 because it's a great amp and some people prefer it over the new 751....the 751 it does look a bit cheaper but the tone is there. Good luck with the sale, DB750 an awesome amp people.
I haven't actually tried a 751, just taking a bit of a flyer on what I know of the 750, and recommendations from people I know. Good to hear more positive words. There doesn't seem to be a review piece on BC yet, perhaps I'll post one once it arrives. Checked your band's site by the way - sounds great!
 20.
My dear Dave...........you're so compulsive!
Well.... I just shifted my Status, and the '51 Precision 5's on the way on Tuesday pending the usual, so... don't tell the missus!!
