1. Aww, come on now, he's into it, and he's enjoying himself. This is a direct result of whoever it was that made us white boys think we had da fonk. I blame that Mark King meself. Sniff. (Runs for cover)
 2. I wouldn't dare! The Stingray is a stonking bass, and will serve you well.
 3. Seriously, I would think long and hard before you sell this. I was a Stingray user for years, and they're a wonderful, bombproof workhorse, but they're a bit of a one-trick pony. Up until recently, I had two DJ5's, one black sparkle Korean, one pearl white Indonesian, both fitted with John East preamps (they're great basses without them, but they really bring the DJ to life - I can't recommend fitting one highly enough) and I sold the white one only because it didn't have quite as fat a sound, plus I had a new rig on the way I had to pay for. I own, or over the many years I've been a bass player have owned, Laklands, Musicmans, Wals, Celinders, Seis and Sadowskys to name only a few, but the DJ5 is now my main bass. They're no longer made, and are getting harder to get hold of. They're easily on a par with basses three times their price. Have I persuaded you to keep it yet?? :-) Dave
 4. Fair warning to any interested parties - due to plenty of interest, but an apparent general lack of cash, the featherweight monster will be heading for eBay tomorrow (Monday 19th September). Grab it now if you want it!!
 5. Having a bit of a clear out - up for sale is the lined pau ferro fretless neck from my '94 Stingray 5, complete with tuners, which I replaced with an unlined neck a few years ago, and packed the original away in bubble wrap and put in a sturdy box in the loft. When we moved house recently I re-discovered it, and was horrified to see the box had been invaded by a mouse at some stage and he'd chewed the underside of the heel, shown in the pictures. Luckily it's not visible when the neck's fitted, and has no effect on it's playability. Also shown in the pics is a small scratch on the back of the neck up by the heel, and a tiny bit of string marking on the fingerboard. I bought the bass the neck came from in the late 90's from Paul Turner, of Jamiroquai etc. He told me it was used on a Take That album, but that doesn't lower the price any, I'm afraid... ... the unwanted mouse carpentry could be said to be a factor in the price however, so I'm only looking for £295 posted within the UK. NOW SOLD.
 6.
Then I would not be able to afford a cab! It is a vicious circle! I have the art of 2 hard cases, guitarists massive pedal board, my little board, Fender Hot rod deluxe, my bass head and the drummers cymbals and snare all in a 3 door punto with 3 people in it and nothing on our laps. This cab as fantastic as it is and as well priced as it is ruins my tetris like system. I need a van...
I just sold my VW Transporter... I could have done you a deal on the two! Bummer!
 7.
I actually know it would fit, I had a Markbass CL108 which is just a shade taller than this and with the back seats down it just fitted in the back of my punto with my bass alongside and head and pedalboard on passenger seat. I now however am transporting the guitarist and drummer to practices so I need seats
Buy a trailer and put them in that!
 8.
EDIT - just realised its a 6ohm cab. Ignore me! EDIT 2! - Back in! right as I said, if you can wait till 31.10 I will be at your front door with 450 quid in crisp notes. EDIT 3. Nope ignore me, just remembered how small my car is I shall keep looking for a 410. GL with sale.
1. Yes. OK then. 2. Thank you for your kind offer, but the missus might have thrown it out with the recycling by then. 3. Now, that's just daft... the FIRST thing you do when you think about getting a big cab is get the tape measure out, for goodness sake!
 9.
Sunday evening just back from the pictures bump.
Monday night this thing's so light it almost blew away today bump...
 10.
Would love to try this cab out to compare it with my Ampeg 8x10...........the dimensions are very similar but the weight diffence would help my poor old back! If only you lived closer!!!!!!!!!
I've used both, although not side by side to be fair, but the Ampeg is a different beast. Sound-wise, I personally prefer the MB, as it's brighter and smoother, but inevitably there's a trade-off with the huge weight difference (the 8x10 weights half as much again!) and it doesn't move as much air. Both great cabinets though.
 11.
If I had my cab sold I would be jumping in! Shame you're not after any trades, otherwise I'd be offering up my Orange SP210
Nice idea, but substitution, even for something much smaller, is not deemed acceptable in the eyes of She Who Must Be Obeyed. And it's orange. She'd spot it a mile off!
 12. Very early Monday morning bump... please come and take this fab cab off my hands... the missus is complaining!
 13.
For sale is my Markbass 610, acquired a few months back from a fellow basschatter, but not really getting the use it deserves, and the missus is complaining it's taking up valuable shoe space, hence up for grabs. Really moves air, sweet top end (adjustable horn) and weighs in at a sylph-like 46kg on my bathroom scales - genuinely very light and portable, much more so than many 4x10 cabs! Dimensions 1170mm high x 490mm deep x 580mm wide approx. Good condition - one caster has been replaced with one of a slightly different width, but is perfectly serviceable. Was £500, now reduced to £450, no trades please. Collection only from between Woking and Guildford, just off the A3 less than 10 minutes from Jcn 10 of the M25.
...still for sale... everyone on basschat must have good backs... :-)
 14.
...to a mere £80 posted within the UK...
Bank holiday bump...
 15.
...and price reduced...
...to a mere £80 posted within the UK...
 16.
...and still very loud, light and portable...
Price reduction bump...
 17.
Bump
I used to have a BB1100S years ago, good bass, but this thing is in another league - a great instrument. Now, if it had been a 5.... Best of luck with the sale!
