WD40 cleared that immensely. lol it happens, damn temptation!..I'm gassing for another bass.. though a Car too.. UPDATE: Ok, just got off the phone with Guitar Works Technician: Julian...he's done many of my guitars and I've been highly satisfied...lol lets hope I feel the same after he does my bass(es) I was satisfied to hear he has a Warwick care kit (truss rod tool, allen keys)...or I would have been annoyed to change the truss rod if it had ruined Cheers Bass Fanatics!..though keep me posted if there is one in Wycombe Area.

Apparently they went out of business because they couldn't afford to keep stock, so *over night* they up't and left . No warnings at all, I recall a technician in there by the name of Mike..he didn't seem too keen, esp when I saw how he relic's uses a pair of scissors tut tut. There's a new one apparently...called BBZguitars (lincoln road) I haven't been and I don't think I want to as they stock the copies (vintage, squier, encore) and don't have a luthier.

I guess from what I've gathered and learnt its all down to basic personal preference, I'm more into the steels as the accustom my style of playing and also I'm into the bright sound to be honest others prefer the nickels (a vast majority ) I've had my hand at nickels but found issues, maybe it was my action or the particular gauge I have (I have small hands ) either way this topic has been a vast help and I show my appreciation...Thanks guys! Ok, since many guitar shops (in High Wycombe) have dissapeared...except for Paradiddles which is an ok place for strings & the owner Phil always is nice to deal with. I was wondering, is there any good luthiers/bass techs in the buckinghamshire area? I need a complete set up for my bass, professionally and (thanks to Warwick.de) would be good if they are keen with warwicks & had the (warwick) equip to setup with, incase your asking I had no care kit since I bought it second hand and apparently you need the required truss rod tool to adjust the truss rod esp to take the lighter gauge Im placing on. I'm not willing to take the chance of me doing it Thanx in advance peeps Pedro
