1. It's well known that Warwick in their early years applied the logo by hand using a sharpie
 2. I must admit, it does give it a classy look. Imagine this with a tortoise shell or black pickguard mmm.. all in all a lovely bass. I'll have to try one sometime.
 3. A pickguard on a Warwick will always look weird to me.. but I bet it sounds incredible!
 4. Seeing as I've been looking for a 5 string SSI, I thought I'd contact the guy.. although in it's current condition I'm not interested in it. Nice chap, however I'd be careful with this one. It appears whoever did the refinish sanded away the serial number. Usually for this period it's located behind the headstock between the tuners. Originally it was honey violin. Surely that's affected the resale value?

 8. Bumpin' up. Must reiterate that this is a UK sale only (to all the interest I've gained elsewhere, sorry but I'd like to avoid any hassle).
:-( This was my 'bedroom wall poster' bass in the 80's....... had bolt on for a while but have always wanted a 'proper' thru wenge neck 80's streamer.
Turn that poster into the real thang!
 9.
Jesus I want this bass.........and you bloomin well live in my town!!! BE GONE SATAN!!!!
Hahahaha!
 10. Thanks for the kind words guys, she is a stunner! @Kev after years of owning it, I've only just realised that.. good eye!
 11. Final Price drop - £950 - No interest in trades. Hello! it's been a while since I've been on this site, quite some years actually! I'm looking to sell my 1986 Warwick Streamer, hopefully to a fellow BC'er who'll cherish it as much as I have. It's in good condition for it's age, a few minor marks around the bottom of the body/near the jack input. The usual slight thumb hazing above the neck PU. I've tried to capture these in the pictures provided. The back of the neck, fretboard (frets also) & headstock on the otherhand are flawless. As far as playability goes it's an effortless dream. The slim neck profile, streamline body contours & light weight are what make these earlier Warwicks incredible. My reason for sale is.. I only play it once or twice a year. I'll admit that I baby it, so it hasn't seen much action in it's lifetime. Too much time consumed by work & other things. Specs:

Original EMG active pickups.
Warwick branded Schaller Machine Heads.
Warwick branded Schaller 3D4 Bridge.
Gold hardware.
Brass nut.
Cherry wings with Wenge neckthrough design & fretboard with pearl(oid) dot inlays.
Comes with an official Warwick padded gig bag - in great condition, no rips, tears. Still has "the ol' tagger on it". Should also point out that this bass is from a smoke free household. I'm located in Buckinghamshire/High Wycombe, SE. Collection prefered. Thanks for looking! gotta get used to forums again. Posted a few pictures below but here's the link to the full album: http://s76.photobuck...y/86%20Streamer
 12.
yeah yeah yeah, ok. now we are all thinking this guy is stupid theres post everywhere about this. But... they do not help me very much. ok ok ok. leme tell you what kind of strings im looking for. I play a squire p bass (nooby i know) in a christian band. im looking for strings that give me a nice warm tone that just makes you feel good inside. I am willing to spend a little bit more than the cheepy strings people buy. give me advice and websites that might help me on my choice of strings. thank you very much and have a nice day. pls i insist have a nice day! :0
..O.......K. Well from what Ive learn't from string experiance is that Nickels provide a warm deep sound and Steels give a brighter, snappier tone (I esp like). If you're looking for long lasting strings, get some Warwick EMP's or even Elixirs. Good Luck.
 13. ...Shouldn't think so. I don't mind what battery brand I put in, atleast it works..
 14.
Any beeswax furniture polish will do the job, but avoid anything that contains silicon. For the neck, use oil rather than wax so it doesn't feel sticky - tung oil is fine, gun stock is better (dries quicker and harder). The Warwick wax seems expensive, but I prefer it because it produces a softer, thinner finish than most furniture waxes, and it works on the neck without feeling sticky. If the bass is old and grubby I'd suggest a clean all over with steel wool ( the plastic stuff doesn't stick to your pickups) followed by a coat or two of tung/gunstock oil. A few days later, a coat or two of wax. BB
Thanks BB, Clauster, Mottlefeeder. Highly appreciated! The Streamers actually in pretty good nic, for its age. No dings, scratches, except a lil' thumb rash you get above the PU, it doesn't feel grubby atm. I this is advice in advance. I think with this one the neck is all wenge  and the fretboard are as one (I see no seam-line to indicate its two parts, or maybe I have bad eyes... So if this the case, maybe it means oil all for neck 'n' fretboard? Here's a pic of it, try and get a side view if poss. And heres the body, I didn't realise colron did a wax polish, only finish? Peter P.S. Oh yeah, this bass totally OWNS..
 15. Ok, well with the purchase of my 1986 Streamer, I feel it needs a wax. Rather than getting Warwick wax, whats a decent alternative?..if any..colron? Im quite a wax virgin. Oh yeah, I'll post up porn pics of my Two "W's" tomorrow Thanks in advance.
 16.
Also the band sounds bloody good, like it.
+1, C'awh, Luke. Hearin' that made me rush for the EOPE album & play against some JMQ classics...Awesome work!, plus on Runaway too I can't give much advice on 5's since I don't get along with them... All in all, good luck with your search!
 17. I thought early Warwick Streamers had a 2 band?...unless your's is modified/upgraded.. Wait, I own one...well a 86' that is. It has a 2 band, my 97' has a 3 band. Push = Active/ Activates Pre-amp Pull = Passive, Cuts it..
