5.
Maths does nothing for nobody.... shut up £6.74
lol I got an A in maths, its rightful I should use it in everyday events (when necessary ofc) £7.87 And!.....*drumroll* a plate of chips, can't be any nicer than that
6.
What is your 'gauge' ? I've got a brand new unused set of light gauge Stainless Steel Elites S35, 35-55-75-95, yours for £7.50 including postage if you want 'em.
My usual gauge is 35 mostly, 30 whenever I feel like it & 40 rarely. I don't think I go any higher. I feel alot of muscle strain in my forearm on my picking hand, and these were with 50's and 45's. So I went with the loose tension and I don't experiance the pain anymore Woa, thats a score price. I'll think about it
7. Hmm...beat me with a .03879875 difference E_man. lol errm, lets encourage the odds. £6.01
8. If you add pics, it would generate interest guarantee! I'll shatter you all, a firm £5
9. ooooo it's getting intense but seriously, these are actually quite ok basses to play about on. At my college we have 2 (black & metallic red) that get chucked about...Literally!
10. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Set-of-Cheetah-Bass-...1QQcmdZViewItem Just been searching about for strings my gauge, the shops are no help. Plus they seem shocked whenever I ask for 30/35 gauge steels. these seem cheap 'n' cheerful, tho a shot to try at.
11.
£1.50...
Anyone willing to outbid that offer?
12.

LAWL! pwned. Just keep the bass, Warwicks are immense to have. I wish I cud buy a warehouse full. lol saying that, in wood A level tech, Im making my own streamer (bolt on) out of plywood (trial/error piece) then a nice wood lets hope it works.
13. Can anyone tell me if this neck is straight or bowed? can't quite tell, but strings are damn high. will it need to be adjusted?
14. Thanks for all the suggestions BC'ers, but I think I'm gonna go with the Musicmaster. Need a passive sound, plus it'll be a good renovation project. Pete, I'll have to try out a SX bass, watched some on youtube..they have a good sound Cheers!
15.
Where did you see a '78 Musicmaster for £130????? Si
lol ...but its in a raite state though, so it needs alot of attention.. an SX? I've never tried one tell the truth  *sigh* skipping lectures to try one..
16. Ok, so I've been on the hunt for a secondary bass, researching round all over the t'internet and locally...I've listed these mainly & aiming under £300 as much as possible tbh.. A 1978 Musicmaster Bass (£130) cream with black scratchplate, local, needs a complete setup, clean and a replacement E tuner (may put a hipshot D tuner) A Vester 5 String clipper (thanks who told me the make ) in natural, streamer shape (£250) Yamaha BBG5 (£280 ono) or a cheapy MIM jazz Which to choose? or any preferable basses under £300 mark, active mostly but the musicmaster has that lovely thin neck & I may (possibly) rout it for active (if I cba tbh) the MIM jazz was a "meh, Ill settle for anything". I'm kinda skint now since purchasing my lovely Streamer Stage 1 & a Vauxhall corsa  so more hours at work Thanks!
17. ahh thats cool, atleast I know the name now What's the name of the streamer shaped ones? got my eye on a natural 5 string but the Thumb copies look gorgeous, esp for the price. Thanks EDIT: lol, sorry thought they had seperate names..my bad
18. Are these good? They look very nice basses, plus Im looking for a "toss about" one how much would a 5 string natural be worth? Thanks
19.
Maybe he's just another "buy on eBay, mark it up and sell on BC" cowboy. Bought for £525 on eBay...Selling for £650 on Basschat. Gotta love that community spirit!
+1 Agreed, don't just buy a bass and sell it on for more. Wheres the love?
20. I saw this on ebay..is that the description from the auction? EDIT: Found link.. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=260208121334
21. I think £200 is a reasonable price knocing a £100 off from what you bought is generous, The Gumtree isn't that popular to post ads only on the off chance do you get peeps who interest since its kinda unprotected and not tracked like ebay (me praising ebay? argh!) so I'd say make it more public, ebay, on BC or local paper ads..
22. I've seen this for sale on the Gumtree..£200 isn't bad. http://www.gumtree.com/london/04/17960004.html
23. it's always good to modify your instrument to your preference, there is alot of pickup choices out there so just research round, youtube usually has peeps who demo them, so you get a basic idea. Squiers are pretty stable basses, they do the job quite good actually, and a good cheap basis if your ever considering a project bass ahh thats cool, hope it sounds great! all the best for the gig. lol I'm on the look out for a cheapy bass, yamaha rbx270 to be specific (since I'm buying a car soon). MIA & MIJ basses are quality, you won't be disappointed.
