1. Rich, you have mail!
2. Markbass sold
3. This limited edition bolt-on Thumb in excellent condition is for sale. Only 1 of 150 made. There's a number plate on the neck and the back of the headstock has been signed by Hans Peter Wilfer, the boss at Warwick. Comes with Warwick manual, truss-rod tool, Warwick strings and Warwick wax. Also included is a certificate from Warwick. I have owned this since new. This bass can sound very deep while also having a detailed, or sweet, top end. The volume pot doubles as an active/passive switch. Here's a link; Thumb 2001 TRADED Cheers, Mike

5. Jack is a great guy to deal with. Made me feel quite welcome and gave me some great advice too (its my first double bass!). Much appreciated. Jack, it was two trains and a taxi to get home. Wasn't too bad in the end!

7. I am that man from Crouch End! Thrilled to bits. Thanks Jack, a pleasure to meet you and thank you also for the advice you gave me. Mike
8. In, around, 1990 I played a second hand Ibanez in A1 in Manchester. It had THE best slap sound as far as I was concerned, bar everything I've ever played since. It was £150. Gah!
9. Octave - more BASS!
10. All sold.

Sold!

Jeez, Congleton (I grew up there, off Park Lane and then West Heath), Macc ( I used to work there) and Crewe (my brother worked there, Rolls Royce, and I went to college there) all in the same thread! Sorry to hijack this thread but the nostalgia is getting to me! Best pubs used to be the White Lion and the Kings Head. Infact The White Lion was the pub in the early 90s for all the alternative/rock kids to hang out. Best jukebox for miles around! Great days. Proy900, nice guitar strap. That's a deal clincher right there! Mike
12. This is me at the 100 Club a short while ago with my band The Hops. Warwick Stage I. Bass mouth.

I grew up in Congleton - Bear Town! Good luck with the sale, Thomas.
14. With EMGs it will fit under the control plate. Bit of a squeeze, mind.
15. 1972? Mine starts with 41 serial number and I thought it was from 1973/74.

17. It's just a BUMP to the left
18. Walking from Hammersmith should take about 10 minutes.
19. I've got an ebony board on my 2001 Ltd Ed Warwick Thumb bolt-on. A very deep sounding bass with a lovely top end.
20. Go for it. Very reliable and will be loud enough.
21. Bump for a fabulous bass guitar.
22. Watching Hot Fuzz, drinking a bottle of the old the vino collapso and playing my new Warwick. Huzzah!
23. Had the pleasure of dealing with and meeting, the Dude. Sold him a pedalboard; top bloke, accomodating and friendly with it. Ideal! Another one of Basschat's good guys.
24. Just traded basses with Jay. He now has another Jazz bass, and I now have another Warwick. Very happy! Top bloke to deal with, had a good chat over a couple of bass cases in St Pancras; recommended! Mike F
