1.
Ah so you didn't trade it for the JO4? You want a JO4 and a DJ4... Very nice. Have a bump. Si
Many thanks! I've also got a 44-02. Idea is to see which I prefer and revaluate (which means I'll probably keep them all.... ) Regards Rich
2. A George Bumpington! Any interest ladies and gents? Hot W'ick action for Lakky loveliness anyone? Rich
3. I'd literally just been looking at the East site!!! Was about to get the credit card out, when I popped back here and this caught my eye.... I'll PM!!! Many thanks Rich
4. PMd! I will take the J-East off your hands!!! If it's still for sale! Regards Rich (Was just about to fork out for a new one.... )
5.
i have a badass 11 bridge good condition £40.00 thanks guys
Is this still available? If so, is it the chrome version and how much to post! Regards Rich
6. Here be V&R Fender Strat, 1977, Natural - scroll down when you get there. They put silly money on it to cover their 'cut'! Regards Rich
7.
Hi Rich ....a good try, and thanks, but I'm not into that 'roadworn' thing! Cheers Kev
Funnily enough neither am I! All the best with your quest Rich (I do have my immaculate natural 77 on the Vintage and Rare site tho....!)
8. A guitar? How's about this for a shot in the dark.... An original 78/79 Strat hardtail. Fitted with diMarzios, inc a tappable diMarzio humbucker. Owned from when it was a year old (can't remember when it was bought - it's an age thing!) and was played extensively around Cambridge in the late 70s so is 'Roadworn'. Hasn't been touched for many, many, many moons. It has been sitting in a basic soft case (hard case is with my 77 Strat) and doing very little. PM if interested. Regards Rich (Apols - the following photo has a short neck and six thin strings... )
9. My Mike Dirnt PB is heavier than my Marcus...! (which is one of the reasons it may well be on it's way to someone else....!)
10. Many thanks for the offer, but I've just acquired Warwickhunt's JO4 (just awaiting delivery in the next couple of days). Regards Rich
11. Tis a gorgeous colour which very rarely sees the light of day (so you know it hasn't faded at least!). Thanks for the humpity, and I've just inadvertently bumped it again.. Anyone in Lakkyland feel the need for some hot W'ick low end action? Regards all Rich
12. Been thinking about this for a while as I'm having a whole lotta love for Lakkies at the mo.... 2006 Warwick FNA Jazzman 4 in Honey Violin over Flame Maple on Swamp Ash with an Ovangkol neck/Wenge fingerboard. All the bass you could ever need (even tho' I prefer my 2005 HotRod ltd...). Has a little bit of buckle bruising on the back, and a couple of dings/scratches elsewhere, but nothing on the facing. Comes with the usual W'ick gigbag and case candy. Does not get the use it deserves (relegated to the spare bedroom ), so needs to be moved on. After a Lakland DJ4 TBH, but would consider Duck Dunn or a Bob Glaub. Not looking to sell (unless you'd like to make a serious offer of course). Would prefer a meet/come round to try and see for yourself (would have to be through a Microbass II and 'phones tho, as the neighbours don't appreciate the noise for some reason). Only one lousy photo available presently (more can be taken - get in touch). Thanks for looking, Rich
13.
Selling a 5-string bass I put together from parts that simply fell into my lap. Solid alder body, Fender Mex neck, (carrying the original Gotoh tuners), Bartolini 59J1 pickups, Schaller 3D-5 bridge, mint green guard and a finish which just looks black in ordinary light but does actually contain flakey bits visible in strong light e.g. sunlight (we will get another 10 mins. of this before the end of August) Asking price is £250 including delivery, and at £225 I would be prepared to deliver free of charge within a radius of 100 metres from my front door.
You have a PM sir!

Sold.

You definitely have a PM sir...!!
15.
It might be, but you cannot be insisting that a bass manufacturer would delve into poor taste and do a joke on April The 1st? Shirly?
No - you're right. I've just ordered one, but there's already a backlog of orders apparently...
16.
That looks horrid, and those knobs are really small (fnarr) which probably make them unusable. Then you've got the added fact of valve drawing power from a battery, and inside a bass, where it's going to have to be secured so it doens't come loose and you lose all sound. Novel concept, but not one that should have seen reality imo.
Is it not April 1st?
17.
I'll see how it goes
I await with pregnant expectation!
18. If you don't get any trades I would be very interested in a purchase.....
19. Traded a Vette $$ 5 string for a CIJ 62 reissue Jazz. Good bloke and thanks for the coffee! At least I can blame him when the girlfriend complains I've just bought another bass, as I now want a Geddy Jazz after seeing his!!!!! I thought the piccies sent were great but the bass was even better in the flesh (it's a blooming stunner!!! So good it needs to be in the Gear Porn section - I'm working on it)! Believe it came from Mr Cougar originally and was mint and is still mint now! Severe wrist and elbow pain from playing both recent trades (PB from King Tut and JB) into the early hours of Sunday morning.... It's a different sort of wrist pain to the usual!! Many thanks for a great trade - I'm as happy as pig in poo!!!
20. Met Col on Saturday night at his gig in Stevenage to trade a Wick Corvette for a MIJ PB. Great bloke, great little bass (sounded great on the night), great band (Curvy Love Dogs - their guitarist, Rich, was using Parker Niteflys - and I had never seen one in the flesh...!!!). Shame there weren't more punters, and we had to go early - coz the good lady had to work and I had to go to Leicester for another trade...!). Check him out (www.myspace.com/colinkempster) or go and see one of his bands if you get a chance! Good to meet. Hope to see you the band again and do business in the future. Now, if you ever want to sell a 70's re-issue Jazz in natural wood (I do like natural wood....if you'll pardon the expression...!) Thanks!!
21.
I think you mean the Dogz........................?
The Parkers (sorry! guitard hat on....!)
22.
Yeah it's the one from Bristol - just needed some TLC! It's a good player as well, as I'm sure fatboytoo will agree, now he's the proud owner!!
Agreed!! It's a little beaut!! Many thanks and good to meet you and the Flies....!
