1.
Just thought i would wade in here. I had the AFB and i loved it, the artcore series are cracking basses especially at these prices. Best of luck with the sale!
Thanks! Just a shame it didn't happen for me...
2. They're only available in the brown with the gold hardware - but they do look good! Soundwise, it's definitely different than the Wicks and my PB.... With the 2 pups and a basic roll-off tone control it is quite versatile but definitely has a brighter edge to it I suppose!! Rich
3. It was GAK in Brighton beginning of the year! Took me about 2 months to think about it!!! Then didn't get on with it... Regards
4. It's absolutely mint, barely played, bought new last year for £259. Comes with the tags, Allen keys and 'instructions'. No case, but I've got a cheapo one to keep the dust off. Bought due to extreme GAS, but wasn't what I remembered in the dealer.... Under pressure from the new lady to get rid. I must admit, I don't use it and it is taking up room! Would prefer pick up (even tho it was sent by courier and arrived unscathed....). Any trial welcome if you're in the Ely (Cambs) area. No piccies, but can take some (its totally untouched apart from finger marks!) if wanted. Link to Ibanez website below. Looking for £175 initially, or trade for something interesting (Ibanez ATK?) WHY? http://ibanez.com/hollow/guitar.aspx?m=AGB200 PM for info, piccies etc. Thanks
5.
I borrowed one of these to record with in November, great bass. If it weren't black, and I hadn't already bought three basses this year then I'd be after it myself. Good luck with the trade!
Many thanks! Love the sound, can't get on with the string spacing/extra string!! It's an age thing! Seemed like a good time to try a Jazz again...
6. Thanks for the offer, but I have a serious urge for some Jazz action!!
7. She does have a point. After all, they're taking up space which could be filled with shoes.... You're welcome to try it if you're in the area.
8. As much as I've tried to get on with all 5 of the strings on this, I always end up back with 4.... So, does anyone want to trade a mint Nirvana Black Corvette $$ 5 string bought new last year for something Jazzery (Geddy, Marcus, interesting other Fender Jazz stylee?) or Laklandery? Barely picked up the 'Vette and cannot find a mark on it. Will come with the tags, bag and usual kit as originally supplied. Welcome to come and try before you buy, er, trade. Only one piccy of the Wick at present. Can supply more if requested, or, if in the Ely (Cambs) area, come and see it. (Also under pressure from the new ladyfriend to shift an Ibanez AGB200 and an OLP Tony Levin, in 'peach', (both mint, and new last year) which have been sitting doing very little in a cupboard..... Bought after extreme GAS, but failed to be keepers. Trade or sell? No pictures and an idea about what I would want (MIM Jazz or black Precision for both?) PM me for info/piccies on these if interested.) Thanks
9. I have a Nirvana Black Warwick Corvette $$ 5 stringer (I just cannot get on with 5 strings....!). Bought new middle of last year and unmarked (comes with all the original kit)... Can supply piccies and further details if interested.
10.
Basses that stand up. Cool http://www.huetinstruments.com/Products.html
First thing I thought of were the instruments the band were playing in From Dusk till Dawn (in the bar, after they'd been turned into vampires)...
11.
Hi and Welcome! - So I take it you're not looking for an 8 string ERB - yet Hamster
4/5 strings are quite enough at the moment thanks!!
12. Greetings! A(n old) newbie to the throng! Been playing guitar on and off (mostly off) for about 20++ years, but recently been inspired by a neighbour's eldest to pick up a woody thing with metal strings just to see if I could remember what to do with it... (barely, as it turns out). As I'm now ageing (badly), my usable brain cells are decreasing in number logarithmically, 4 strings seemed to be the (new) way to go. Already had an old Tokai 'Original Series' - believe to be something like an LM50(?) - (had a go at defretting (cheap option!) - coming along nicely) hidden amongst the 6-stringers in the cupboard, but have had a very bad case of GAS already (thanks to a xmas bonus and a credit card...) and have ended up with Washburn T24 & Force 5, OLP Tony Levin sig (the peach one...), a Tanglewood Indiana acoustic bass (which I got v. cheaply with a neck prob (kink), but now just about sorted and sounds OK) and a Mike Dirnt PB (the Fender version - which I tried sometime ago and is now on order..), coz it looked and sounded great (through a Marshall tranny combo) and I quite like the chunky neck and the slab body...(at least you get more wood for your money - if you see what I mean ). All I have to do now is sell one of my Strats to pay for the credit card... I'll save the other one to get something 'special' when the right time comes (prob next week!)... Always into rock, but willing to listen to anything (saw Jaco (RIP) and Weather Report a few times, and Stanley Clarke - both remain inspirational - would love to see Victor Wooten...), with Tool and Marillion (slight oppos) as my faves. Apols for going on...!
