Just to make things trickier, just half way through an open air gig and my current rig (Carvin B1500 and Genz Benz Nx2-212) is reminding me of how great it is!

HA3500 is very underrated in my opinion and the xl4.5 is a great sounding cab if unbearably heavy.

Cheers chaps, how did you find the Proline handled a low B?

Yes, could go for the neo I guess, I've heard it said that they do lack a bit when compared to the Prolines, however. Two 2x10s would be an idea as well to cut down on the weight but I think the chances of finding two would be slim.

I thought my days of humping a big heavy 4x10 were behind me but I now find myself gasing for an EBS HD350/Proline 2000 410 rig. It's totally irrational as I'm perfectly happy with what I have and my current cab can be carried with one hand. I've always wanted to try one though as I do like the EBS tone but the weight of that cab was always the deal breaker. Also, I know their cabs don't go super low and am slightly concerned how one would work with my 5 string. Am I quite mad?

[/quote] Yeah, I definitely wouldn't put him in the "widdler" category. Like you say, he's too musical for that. It's basically bebop played on bass. And yes, he is a great guitarist as well, I think it's actually his first instrument, which makes me want to sell up even more!

His phrasing is fantastic, note choice perfect, has great technique and fabulous tone. An absolute joy to watch.

I put 1250 watts through my 600 watt cab, not at anything approaching full volume, obviously. I've yet to see the clip light.

My mate and neighbour has just bought one and he loves it. He's on here but I can't remember what he calls himself. Hopefully he'll be along soon!
