1. Thanks for that, I've been looking at both the VT and the BDDI recently. I've swooped on a BDDI for the moment but may well have to get both before I decide which one to keep.
2. Easy - First bass - an Aria Pro II, the all important purchase that started the ball rolling. Probably my most useful gadget is my Zoom H2 for recording band praccy's - helps with new songs, great quality 'off the cuff' recordings.
3. Man - I had no idea they were touring! Genuinely gutted!

effects chain

There's no definitive rule - use your ears and what sounds best is what's best for you.
5.
You can only imagine how much fun this is with a GT200 Ignore settings as was fiddling at time and almost all of those there sound like ass
Pure gas for that mini dirt board! Those connectors look well tidy - where dya get them from?
6. I'm no expert I'm afraid - I've never owned a P? From trying them out in the shops it seems the same, may be another Ryder/P-owner could chime in?
7. Bought this but only played it once - it was just one of those too good to pass up offers but I hate seeing basses gathering dust and I already have a spare should I need it. Its the navy blue bodied / maple neck one. I've set it up and put a set of Ernie's on it.

SOLD
I just got one of these. Amazing bit of kit. Could hear the difference immediately.........
Yeah I used it briefly to blend in a Musket fuzz but ended up selling the fuzz and have no need of it at present - great pedal though. Joe - I'll need to do a bit of research on those and get back to you. I can remember gassing for a messdrive and the mf-101 a while ago but not sure if I still need/want them at the minute. I'll let you know later.

Feedback for sk8

Mike bought my Oxcide Fuzz - paid straight away - great to deal with - thanks mate.
11.
My sentiments exactly. I saw this last night, and cried myself to sleep.
and the Gemini Drive too - Dos y'anarchy scooped them both with the quick trigger finger there!
12. On hold pending payment. (my quickest sale ever I think!)
13. Totally agree with Beedster - Although tbh I was guilty of not checking the guys feedback - which was crap. It turned out alright in the end - lesson learned! I didn't have any qualms about leaving him negative feedback though.
14. Its brand new and looks like it does in the pics on the website :- http://ironether.com/pedals/oxide/ Its a great pedal - just not for me. I'm after £120 posted. I got stung for customs on this so I'm taking a loss here.
15. Thanks for these, always welcome samples of pedals I've not heard before. I'll have to wait till I'm home from work though.
16. I hit 40 last November. It was strange because I felt really down about my age when I hit 39 but wasn't bothered at all when I got to 40 - I think I was over it by then! Still in an originals band but starting to feel like a tit when I'm giving it some on stage - there's a little voice in the back of my head saying "act your age" - and another voice saying "f*ck it!".
17.
YouTube it. Pincers, insulation tape & a sodering iron are all that's needed to take them out. I'd link the vid, but can't at work.
Thanks mate, I thought of Youtube but can't access it in work and am far too impatient to wait til I get home!
18. I've been thinking of doing this to my old Soundgear but never done anything like this before - how did you take the frets out? Is there certain technique to use to avoid damaging the fretboard?
19. At last! I nearly pulled the trigger on this a couple of times! Had one before and regretted selling it on - never really replaced it!
20. I think it depends on what your doing and what you want to do. My bands guitarist knows pretty much zero theory, only has a loose idea of where the notes are on his fretboard but to compensate has perfect pitch hearing, great intuition and fantastic feel (is one of the best guitarists I've been fortunate enough to play with). Within our rock band it works really well, I don't get frustrated that he doesn't know certain terminology - no matter how basic and he doesn't brag that he's such a great player even without any theory. I think this this may hamper him outside of a band envoironment, for example if he ever decided to do session work or take part in a musical for instance. But he's never shown any inclination to do those things so I don't think it would even matter.
21. Decimator sold - all the way to Slovenia!
