1. I've just finished wiring in my new Wizard pickups on my aerodyne, and after testing have noticed they both work fine in isolation, but when I have both turned up, the open d and g strings are silent. I'm guessing this is a wiring problem with the p pickup but not knowing enough about electronics I'm not sure what I should do to rectify this. Can anyone help? Thanks, Nick.
2. Please help! I'm trying to learn the bassline to this song, does anyone have a transcription? The latest issue of Bass Player has a transcription of the chorus but I'm struggling to work out the rest. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Nick.
3. Nice basses Wildman! I'm not usually a big fan of Warwicks, but that one looks tasty. That H1 Jazz should get mojo'd up nicely with the finish they have!
4. There you go, photographic proof that you can never have too many Jazzes. Hmm, I only have two and that Geddy lee I tried at the Gallery was very nice... Somebody help me... must... resist...
Love the quilt - that's exactly the same pattern my eyes make when I drink too much Whisky.
Hahahahahaha! erm thanks I always thought that was the pattern you saw when you watch too much telly!
7. Very nice setup there. Loving the jazz, I have the same with white pickguard and DR black beauties but I like the Timmy C look with the black guard!

My babies

Hope this works Not to everyone's taste but I like 'em. On the left my Jap Aerodyne and on the right my US Jazz. I just love the Jazz neck, had a Washburn Mercury Series 5'er and an Ibanez artcore but I got on best with the Fenders so got rid of the others. Edit: Apologies for the grainy rubbish camera phone pic, doesn't do the colours justice...
9.
Have bought and sold with some of you - feedback welcome
I've bougt a wireless from John, very friendly and good communication. Sir, you are a true gent!
10. I've played one at the gallery, they're lush! But I already have 2 jazzes...

Aerodyne

I got one in OCR last Feb. Love it to bits.
12. Looks interesting, especially since I'm French myself... And also English! For any other francophones out there there's this site too: http://www.slappyto.net/
13. Well, with this info (that I'm not the only one to have this problem) I'm sending it back to the gallery and Alex will send it back to Ashdown to get it repaired hopefully.
14.
Yes. Same problem on one channel. It went back to Ashdown to be repaired. They sent it back 'repaired' but the fault was still there. Now taking it back to Soundcontrol for a full refund. Hamster
Ah nuts, this doesn't sound good...
15. It just doesn't seem normal (or acceptable!) to me. I'm going to set it up elsewhere to see if it could be something interfering, but I doubt it. The sound is at a constant level, irrespective of the gain or output volume or eq settings. Sounds to me like a fault. I have already taken it back but I may have to be more insistent next time. Any other Superfly owners out there with this problem?
16. Does anyone else have this problem with the Ashdown Superfly head? Basically, a few minutes after switching it on, it develops a high pitch whistling sound. This is at a constant volume, irrespective of the volume or the eq. Indeed, it doesn't go away or decrease with the volume at zero and all the eq parameters turned right down. This is a separate sound to the idle hiss most amps have. I did take it back to the shop but the guy who sold it to me seemed to think this was normal. I think the problem was I didn't leave it on for long enough for the noise to get to really irritating levels. It really is noticeable. Has anyone else had a similar problem? Any suggestions on what I should do? Thanks in advance, Nick.
17. +1 for the high-tech Grolsch straplock solution, verry effective I've found.
18. I use a Mansons deluxe leather strap - their extra wide one, nice and comfy.
19. would you adam and eve it, just when I decided to get some different 4 ohm cabs for my superfly head, ashdown release the superfly cabs. Still, I decided to go for some EBS evo pro 2000, a 210 and a 115 and very nice they are too. I'd be interested to hear what these cabs are like though, are you getting them Neilb?
