3.
Nice bass but I'm afraid it's an EPIC FAIL in terms of it's whiteness. Take it away, get it painted and try again!
If I was to get it painted it would be in RED.............. Everyone knows Red ones are faster!!
  4. It's white ish
  5.
0.5m Neutrik - http://www.audiospares.com/product.php?pro...t=43&page=3 1m Neutrik - http://www.audiospares.com/product.php?pro...t=43&page=3 PM me tomorrow and I'll get you a 10% off discount code (I work for them!) Alternatively I have some just over 50cm with right angled heavy duty jacks. They are not as high quality as Neutrik but are decent AND if right angles are OK you can have one for the cost of postage. Coz I'm nice like that.
What a great offer - Thank you. The over 50cm sound just the ticket, I honestly do not mind paying the cost thought. Will PM you the morrow - Thanks again
  6.
er...make one?
Err.. Not with my handman skills Apart from that I don't have a soldering Iron and I'd rather buy a decent one from a quality maker.
  7. I need a patch cable of around 2.5ft (30") of high quality!! - most I have found are much shorter or much longer. I have emailed The Lead Factory but I think they may even be closed now. I like Fender gold cables and use these from my pedal to Bass but want the 2.5 from amp to pedal and am struggling to find one. I will go to 3ft If I have to but they are still hard to find.. Anyone?? Anywhere?
  8. It's a lovely looking Bass and I like Cort - Strangely enough it was 10 minutes from me before but now miles away.. Am still hoping for that Peavey but will see how we go.

  11. I saw this on there a few days ago and was interested as I have been eyeing up the Dingwalls since seeing them at Bass Direct - Not sure it would have that all important Dingwall thump I hanker though!!

  14. Prose Headless Short Scale Bass Price reduction to £350 + Postage (if needed) I have for sale my Prose headless Bass, it is less than 6 months old and has hardly been played. The spec is fairly high having a Cedar Wood body and Indian Rosewood fretboard, it has Gold coloured Hardware and Brass fret markers. The fretboard is plain bar the 12th fret markers which are also Brass. The Bass was made for me by Paul at Prose and finished in early 2010. The Bass has Wizard pickups which Andy put together for me (as I wanted them to cover the strings at an angle) which I then supplied for the build. The Bass is short scale and very light weight, I currently have Fender short scale strings on it and they are also hardly used. I have lots of pictures from the build and can also send these on to the buyer. I'm Based in Lincolnshire and the Bass is available for test runs and collection (which I would personally prefer) Thanks for looking.
  15.
Bump as it's next weekend ... I'm just back from North Italy where I managed to pop up to see Erik and Enrico in the workshop. They were just finishing off a batch of 5 basses including an interesting flat black EJ4 custom for a UK person... I took some snaps but havent had time to look at them yet ..
That would be this one then which accompanies my Mayones
  16.
Yep we did that tour, bit of a weird one but cool for us at the same time! Not that i've met many famous film stars but she seemed pretty cool!
Very weird one, Your band put on a very energetic watchable and enjoyable performance - Can't remember the name of the other support act but they were bloody awful. All the best with the tour. Just remembered : Officer Kicks oh my!!!
  17. Attack Attack?? Did your band support Juliet Lewis @ Shepards Bush? I saw that gig and yourself if so.
  18. 1 girl 4 boys!! 8 Ball or 8 Ball 1 pocket
  19. I'm in Sleaford which is not too far from you.. I only have 3 Basses at the moment (which is unusual) but they are VERY different (2 fretted and a fretless all 4 string) and I think you should try as many as you can when your budget is so varied. You are welcome to come try them if you want as I am just down the road. I can even change the action while your there so you can see what you like. I am awaiting a couple of builds so none set me back anywhere near the £500 either so would give you an idea of what you can get for your money.

I hope it's not a waste of time and you get an awsome Bass - I think the look of these Basses is intriguing and one that is a 'wolf in sheeps clothing' would be quite cool.. Would love to see a Mod one at a Bass bash come out the case and blow some socks off!!

I've not played one myself, and I realise for yourself this was a present.. But for anyone else doing the same (unless it's a looks thing) if you put the price of the Bass together with the mods you are buying will it not come to a sum that would buy you a stock Bass you were happy with??
