1. I'd totally go for this if it had black b&b. Good price, very, very decent refin and a cool bridge! Good luck .
2.
In your humble opinion.
Well to be fair, he wrote it and it's obviously not a fact so it goes without saying.
3. I have to admit, the Stingray I once had was possibly the best quality bass I've played. It's certainly up there anyway. Shame I just couldn't get along with it.
4. For some reason this is the combo I think of when I think of a Bongo. Looks ace though! I wouldn't go for anything at all like that finish usually, but Bongos are "funky"!
5. I'm not that keen on parcel forwarding company's, they're overpriced and a little shady from what I've heard. Do you have any experience with bonvu?
6. When you find the bass you've been looking for. It pops up online... it's quite rare, a good price and you don't see them too often. Then you find out they won't ship to your address! Arrgh!
7. I used to hate the look of bongos, I kind of dig them now. I'd never own one but I no longer dismiss them like I did a year ago. I agree though, they do look like a beautiful work of art and also based on previous MM basses I have no doubt the quality is immense. I keep hearing how great the electronics are too, I'd love to see one in person.
8. Nice score, congrats! Plonk a mint green guard on there.

10. These are seriously cool basses. Good luck!
11. Ice blue metallic, Pelham blue or Burgundy mist metallic? I wouldn't be able to live with myself if I recommended one of your choices, sorry!
12.
I'd have thought the value of the LE would be up there with something like a 30th anniversary Ray. Depending on the day anywhere between about £1000 at the low end but maybe as high as £1300 if an MM collector takes a shine to it. I've had a standard Sterling in the past. playability (neck wise) just as fast as a Jazz. Sound wise - much closer to a Ray......i.e. nothing like a Jazz. Harder edged and less versatile sound palate wise than a Jazz but sits in a mix well and a great sound if you like it. Personally I do but I wouldn't have one as my only bass. Just my 2p
Great post, I also agree on the price. Only as an estimate though. I did have a Stingray as my only bass once but I wish I had got an l2000 instead for a wider variety of tones.
13. I think they share the same neck profile, but they won't sound the same being different electronics. I've seen standard Sterlings go for £650-800, his being a special I would have no idea. Sorry I wasn't too much help! Others here are experts though, you can also ask on the EB forums or even TB.
14. That looks awesome! Good luck!
15.
you know i've been looking at it thinking the exact same thing plus of course some covers & a tug bar cheers
Sounds awesome! I'd suggest WD music for the best tort as they do the real deal. You can read about it on offsetguitars.
16.
My missus gave me permission to acquire a P-bass last night. These are very high on the shortlist...
No collection is complete without a P bass! .
17.
Good result - if they sort it out perhaps you should give them some positive publicity ?
Definitely. I've praised GAK before for handling a similar situation so well. I don't want to give any names away until resolved however.
18. The store has arranged for the bass to be picked up. It will hopefully be exchanged; next one will be inspected to see any issues by the store and I will get some pictures sent to me also.
