1. For a one off job and assuming that the nut is not brass and that you don't need to remove much material, then I would probably use an old string of the right diameter as a file. Jewellers files work well enough, or even the cheapo welding tip cleaners, available on Ebay for a couple of quid.
2.
Did this sell, Gary?
Just visited this to give it a bump and discovered your question Mick, sorry don't know how I missed your post. Anyway, it's still available, if you want it.
3. I had the orange version as well. Very nice.
4. When I've wanted genuine G&L parts, I've got them from the States, these days it's costly though. A tribute is not going to affected much price wise by fitting generic parts, so I think if it were me I would just search out something that would fit. Would standard CTS or whatever not fit?
5. This is a superb instrument, someone will be very happy. Glad you got the buzz sorted out, I can't believe I got that wrong.
6. Good job, I'm looking forward to seeing how this progresses.
7. A pleasure to deal with, no messing about, just the way it should be.
8. Well I guess if you're buying them to do up and sell, then it goes with the territory. But yes heavy handed numpties using the wrong tools is very annoying.
9.
An "Are you open to offers?" bump...
by pm only please. Nowt insulting though
10. Surely we're all done now, shall I just close this thread?
11. Agreed With reference to the BF BB2, I now own the one that Dave bass5 was talking about. During the break at our last gig, a chap approached me, turns out he was a bass player, anyway, he said that my rig was the best he had ever heard. I love the sound produced by my BB2, especially when it's driven quite hard. The bass player in the audience loved it. Another bass player at one of our gigs wasn't so keen on it. It didn't work for Dave. There you go absolute proof ...................of nothing at all
12. Looks great in that pic.
13. I can't help, think it's a job for one of the Admin team. Welcome though
14. Hope you get sorted, my band DefunkT would fit the bill but we are already gigging tomorrow night.

16. I've used North West Guitars for various parts and the quality has always been good.
