1. As someone who works in computers every day, has a degree in Comp Science my 2 cents is that the Mac is so much easier to use and generally just better. Built on a unix based OS, its just so much better than windows. I think the only thing that has crashed on my MBP is Windows Office. And i think i've turned it off around 4-5 times in the past 18 months.
2. Darn, I live 5 mins from there! Got a gig that night too!
3. Ive had it for a few years now. You can use it offline on your phone which is handy. And if you're a student you can get it for £5 a month.
4. Yeah, i agree, hike your fee. Standard agencies cost at least £1000 and so do we, and we have no problem.
5. Sounds ok. Too over produced for me. Stupid Rick Rubin. Also just sound like there first few albums, which is great, but Ozzys voice is now f***ed.
6.
McCartney's got a great voice eh!
Listen to his solo stuff, in particular, Maybe Im Amazed. Im a massive fan of The Beatles and find myself listening to the whole catalogue all the time. But if you dont like the early stuff, then listen to White album and Abbey Road. As a musician you should be able to appreciate them. Abbey Road is arguably the best album ever made.
7. i have flats on my Hofner, and just about to put some on my Jack Casady. Love em.
8. International work. Get in a good band and apply for them contracts. You will get work 10 out of the 12 months.
9. Just done my dissertation, studying Computer Science. Done mine in 5 days. Tough stuff!! Good luck dude, i know how it feels.
10.
free insurance plus public liability included with MU membership.
This. And as a student you can get it for £20 a year, as opposed to the £183!
11.
Justin Timberlake's latest Vintage Trouble- The Bomb Shelter Sessions
Both awesome.

13.
La Bella flatwounds. It's the law.
This. I have them on my Hofner, sounds awesome.
14. http://youtu.be/ThZZnS4Jvwc We take everything from these guys, from handshakes at beginning and end of gig to the clothes.
15.
Old lot - stuff like Sweet Home Chicago (and some other 12 bar blues), Dear Prudence, Knocking on Heavens door, another brick in the wall. New lot - Thin Lizzy stuff (Rosalie, don't believe a word), judas priest, iron maiden, zz top.... Harder rock than I'd normally listen to but it is sooooo much fun to play!! Thanks for all the congratulations! I am still chuffed to bits today! God I live being a bassist!!
Probably one of the greatest under-rated basslines...
16.
I play in covers bands because I love playing music, be it creating or covering, I love playing party music live and being part of a good night. I can fit into a covers band with minimal homework or rehearsal time, which fits with my family time, job and time spent on other things I enjoy. To be honest, Its a lot of fun, be it playing at wedding where I dont know anyone, or doing a parent night in the school, its just fun. The other thing is, I have never in my 44 years on earth experienced or heard any negativity towards playing covers from anyone other than on this site.
This.
17. ** Plus it helps as i get paid to play music i love!! Im stuck at the moment as i dont wanna get a 'real' job. If i could live off playing weddings every weekend for the rest of my life i would.
18. I love being in original bands, but i prefer cover bands. I love playing the music i grew up on and take infuence from. I love trying to replicate and learn chops from my 'hero's'. We play 50's, 60's 70's so im playing stuff that really means a lot to me. I put a lot of soul and character into my playing, and i dont think i could do that with the 90's 00's stuff.
19. What do you mean exactly when you say shallow? >.<
20. We charge £200-£250 for pub gigs and then we are on several agencies so anything from £900 upwards, depending on the location.
21.
i run a function band and we have a set of four floor cans which we dmx together as uplighters and then a couple of scanners and then a couple of led par bars
Can i ask, what floor cans do you have? Ideally that's what i would like. Our two LED bars are enough for the 'dance-floor' but some cans for a wash would be ideal.
