1. Standard moulds from say ACS are around £120 to £200. And you get them cheaper if you go to an ACS agent instead of a shop, you get a discount on the plugs themselves and they dont charge you for the impressions.
2. For me, Selling England by The Pound is the greatest prog album ever. Firth of Fith - just wow.
3.
I can't add much more that has'nt already been said about his playing or songwriting skills. His vocals are pretty hot too, check out his general harmonies, or lead on numbers Long Tall Sally, Oh Darling, or Maybe I'm Amazed, which I could reach those notes!
Them songs are amazing. Also I've Gotta Feeling on the Rooftop of Apple Studios. The guy had an amazing range, not even lennon/little richard could reach. IMO His bass playing changed the way people played. Something, Dear Prudence, and basically the whole of Sgt Peppers is phenomenal.
4.
Aren't the ACS Pro-17's designed for vocalists? I'd give ACS a call and find out what they recommend.
ACS recommended Pro-17's for me as i do a lot of vocals as well as bass. You can modify the filters if you choose too.
5. I love my Hofner, so much fun to play and usually play that over my Deluxe P-Bass at gigs. I have the Bass and Treble on and the Rhythm on. And tend to palm mute alot so it gives it that 'damp' sound.
6. i play through a SVT 4-Pro head and a SVT-410HLF cab and i couldn't be happier! I'll try and get some pics.
7. Not my pic, but imagine this without the maple neck, and also a off-white scratchplate.
8. We use Equinox Maxi Bars, they're great. But i would defiantly purchase more than one.
9. We like to say our minimum is £200, if it's a new pub where we havent played before we charge between £150-£200 on the deal that we get asked back. Sometimes we do the odd free gig, but only if we get something out of it, advertising e.t.c
10. The Dark Lord - May i ask what pub it was? we play a lot around Hampshire/West Sussex/East Sussex, so it'll be good to know in advance. With a little research, i've managed to find the pub. It's a shame local pubs are getting like this.
