I just got a Polytune mini as space was an issue in my funk band pedalboard, where I had a great but huge Korg GT10 tuner. The Polytune works well, and it's much smaller, I love that. But I really don't like the display, made up of lots of small leds. It's not very nice to look at and even hard to read at times... I'll keep it because that does not mean I cannot use it, and I love the size. But it's not pleasant to my eyes. Anybody else find that? I wish Korg came up with a Pitchblack mini...
Wanna do a straight swap for a new Korg pitchblack poly - big display! Great tuner, I just need more space on board?

Hi, Doesn't look like there is away to alter the default settings on the tuner mute. I'd preferered the mute to come on straight away rather than having to wait 5 secs and go via bypass first. I understand it can be done via a footswitch, can it be done via am expression pedal too or not?
Anyone managed to get A decent wah setting out of this? I can't get anything i like. I love this pedal, the amp sims are awesome! As far as software recording goes I've been using GarageBand.
So that's a no on the wah then? I've messed about a bit but none cut through in a live mix, or should I say enough to please my ears. Anyone any good wah patches before I hit the wallet for a decent wah?
I'd be surprised if many people posting in this thread had the option to compare the two: it mostly seems to be full of people who have bought a cheap B9 and are working out how to use it. If you have a B3, or know someone that does, why not find someone with a B9 near you and get together for a bake-off?
I have neither hence the enquiry!

I'm intrigued to know whether there is a difference in the quality of amp sims and effects between the B3 and B9? With the B3 being the newer kid on the block I was thinking this may be the better option? Had my own thread on this but it seems as popular as a fart in a space suit.

Is an expression pedal much use to anything other than a wah?
Hi mate,iv had my b3 for around a month now. My first multi effects,I mainly got it for the drum machine for practicing at home. I think its pretty good to be honest, don't get me wrong there are plenty of awful affects I can't imagine anyone using but there are also some really good ones. The best overdrive for me is the svt amp simulator, gives a real nice warmth and is fully adjustable thru the 3 or 4 pages you get with each effect. The chorus is another highlight,as is the 'bottom b' effect which gives a nice deep reggae sound. The patches are worth a go too, although there seems to be about 3 million of them, which ain't a bad thing I guess. Definatley worth the 130 i paid. Although I gigged it for the first time on Xmas eve and with my size 12 doc martens I had to be careful what I was pressing. Can't help you with comparing to the others you mentioned but I really do rate this if your a 'part time's effects user like me :-)
I was hoping you'd say that on the SVT. Yeah torn between the two really, new technology on the b3 I suppose. Thought I could ship a few pedals out if I could find a good Samsamp compromise with multi fx on board too.

Hi, I currently have a line 6 M5 which I use every now and again mainly for chorus, phase and a bit of Octave. Don't like many of the overdrives and amp sims on there. The screen size is a bit small for my liking and not being able to engage more than one effect at a time is a bit of a limitation I suppose. Just wondered how they compare. I have some great pedals on my board (Samsamp VT Bass deluxe, groove regulator G2, ebs multi comp, line 6 M5) times are a bit hard so thinking I may flog all or some of these if I can get thereabouts with the zoom b3. The only thing I use religiously is the multi comp and one or two settings on the VT. Thoughts? Amp sims any good? Overdrive? Wahs and choruses any good. Not to hissy and digitalised? Cheers T

My god, good luck to the exceptional mortal who takes this on. Best leave the ego at home though.
