1. I have been asked a number of questions about this bass so here are the answers: Weight is 9lbs 2ozs Nut Width 1 3/4 inches Not good at describing the neck profile, but it is slim rather than chunky, I would say nothing like a 70's neck. Date is March 59 Hope this helps
2. My thought exactly, the point about this Bass is it is a player! you just have to look at the neck and body, this Bass did not live its first 40+ years in a case under a bed the wear is genuine and the re-fin was done around the wear by a very skillfull luthier. Every now and then I offer it for sale, someone will buy this and enjoy it at some point in time, until then I will take it out of its case every now and then and use it either at home or at very special gigs, (which now days get less and less )
3.
This is a beauty of a bass, I nearly had it but life got in the way . But yeah, stunner, and Steve is a great guy! Si
Thanks Si, its spent another year in its case and not seen light of day, such a shame as it is crying out to be played!
4. Time to find out if there are any interested parties out there for this fine Bass? I would be willing to part with this for £4k, or alternatively keep it for another year. Let me know
5.
I could do with a pair of these .Anyone got another for sale ? Thanks Alex
I got one of these I don't use, so if you want another one let me know. Steve

8. Look at the Modulus up for exchange here and see if he would take cash! although you might have to pay a bit more than £1500
9. I got one of those, and thats the only other freted one I have ever seen! Great Bass, dusted mine off last night and used it for the first time in ages, would never let mine go! Best of luck with the exchange and whoever gets this will get one crackin bass if mine is anything to go by.

11. Sold mine about 18 months ago for £1400, it was the last known one to be build based on the serial number and went to the US. Great Amp, great sound, too heavy!
12. In my opinion the cabinets is worth £200-250 and the Head is worth £400-500, if you sold both together expect to get £600-£650. I have owned and sold the V8, and the better 4 x 12 with horn, which was 900watts, (from the V range). It should tell you on the back what rating the cab is. My cab went for £250 I think. Let's see what it fetches on evil-bay!
13. I have a Washburn 5 string for sale here on basschat if you are interested? Someone was interested in it from Italy but did not feel that I trusted the shippers with an Acoustic!
14. If you are doing a lot of string bends and using the trem go for the strat plus, if not try and find a Clapton strat, best all round strat and you get a built in boost. I have 3 of them in my collection!
15. "Look Leo if you want this bass I want the pens and the pants or no deal!"
16. Makes my 59 that I advertised here a little while ago look cheap at £4,500 OK so mine is a refin.....
17. That looks the Dog's whatsits, if only I was buying and not selling!
18. Thanks guys for the comments, this is silly money for a great bass, it is £300 cheaper than I wanted and paid for it a number of years ago. The only reason it is for sale is that I want to thin out the collection thats it. The leds are face only, and the battery is below the control plate so there are no extra routes in the body. There is some buckle rash on the back, other than that it is in great condition.
19. This is a bargain, so just buy it and have fun!
20.
Nice Was gassing for a fretless one of those about the time you bought yours. I'd probably leap at a fretless one now, in fact. Hope it goes to a good home.
Thanks, you could always remove the frets?
21. Nice Bass Tom, what Bass rig are you looking for?
22. This Bass was bought on a whim in 2003 and has never left the house since then. It has lived its life hanging on the wall and in its soft case. 5 String Washburn AB35 cost me £439, (I still have the reciept), I am looking for £300 for this quality Bass, it has XLR as well as jack and built in pre-amp all as standard so you can tell that this is not a cheap Accoustic but one that is at home live or in a studio.
