  1. Resurrecting this as I'm looking to put two of these cabs together. Have the drivers so need the wood and crossover components. Never did I think it'd be so hard to find decent plywood in Northern Ireland. Thought I was sorted with a company that would cut panels of 12mm Baltic Birch to size and post for a reasonable price (as in sub £100 for the 2 cabs), but of course they won't post to Northern Ireland. Anyone got a lead on somewhere that will? While I COULD buy some rubbish plywood locally and do the cutting myself, buying in "kit" form would increase the likelihood of me actually doing it 10-fold!

Bit of a thread revival, but I thought I’d post here as I recall there being some fans of the Lomenzo Hyperdrive here. Going by a comment from Mark Gooday on a post on their FB page, it would appear we are about to get a new Lomenzo pedal. Please let it be as good as the original bit in a much smaller enclosure!
edit to say this is in reply to a comment asking for a new Hyperdrive.

If this is another Lomenzo in the vein of the Hyperdrive then you win the Internet...

Edit: Having read the comment you're talking about, it could be taken to mean the total opposite of what you think... But we'll stay ever hopeful!

Ordered the AO clone... Have Aion FX Maelstrom (B3K/Vintage crossover clone) and Ts50 (Traynor) kits, and an OmniCabSim clone waiting to build so depending how that all turns out there could be a big clearout coming!

    😂..yarp,it's the AO and B3k.

Surprisingly good quality and sound.silent switching, the AO sounds exactly the same...the 3k has a lot darker drive than the original

I change my mind so much with drives these will do just fine for the mo.

Interesting... Finding my Alpha Omega Photon & HX Stomp XL combination total overkill for my requirements. My recently acquired Vintage Ultra and an AO clone would probably be more than sufficient if I added a compressor into the equation...

Was looking for a preamp EQ type pedal for using at home and on impulse bought this Ly-Rock Tonemonster from AliExpress. In my defence I didn’t know it was such a rip off of the Bass Simplifier!

Have to say it sounds really quite good tho! Dunno if it’s anything like the real thing.  It is very tweakable got some really cool tones and seems very well made but still ….

Supposed to be like an SVT in a box, isn't it? Have you used any other such pedals? Can you comment on how it compares?

I'm trying to simplify / rejig my board, for tuner + C4 synth + Capo + Compressor.

Hence, my pedals below are up for sale - I'm not desperate and the comp is a feeler - I may change my mind and keep them so go at them whilst available. Add a fiver for postage:

    * £230 Blackstone Appliances Mosfet drive: The star of the show - super rare, great overdrive/distortion, with 2 channels and capacity to shift the EQ from flat to scooped, separate gain distortion levels for each with knobs that won't make you wonder whether your settings are busted - can adjust easily with a nail or a pick though. Anything from adding a bit of hair to actual distortion is possible. Works a treat on bass and the brightness/depth can be adjusted via plug in capacitors and trim pots on the rear - I never felt the need for that tweaking though. SOLD.

    * £160 ZVex Vexter Wholly Mammoth - as the name suggests, a massive, gated fuzz tuned specifically for bass - amazing when combined with the Blackstone, but just great on its own really.  SOLD.

    * £130 Fuzzrocious Lil Fella - distortion to fuzz depending on gain, comes with a gate engaged on the switch - crunchy tone, super organic, able from low drive to metal

    * £160 ZVex Instant Lo Fi Junky - chorus perfect for lo-fi / introducing odd noise with three wave signals flickable on switch... lots of depth/compression from 80s chorus to vibrato.

    * £70 ThorpyFX Fat General Clone - a feeler since I love this pedal, but I could be interested in other comps potentially - tone enhancing, always on pedal - I just love it but open to a change if anyone is after this.

Like I said I love this pedalboard and you can tell it's been crafted with love, lust and GAS - happy to keep them but I'm interested in trades with a C4 Synth, POTENTIALLY a Source Audio Aftermath or a cool compressor but ideally trying to get funds for a Jad Freer Capo.

I can only say good things about the Fat General clone... After all I built it! But it kicked the Cali76 Compact Bass off my board (before the whole board was replaced by Ander's Alpha Omega Photon!). It's a FANTASTIC compressor.

    Warning. Warning. Warning.

I'm one small sale far from affording the Capo. Whilst that is good news, oh boy, what a dry dry dry month awaits until I get it, with nothing more than a compressor and a distortion pedal on my board

    You can do it @Ander87

oh. Uh oh. Gawd. Oh. It does have a good heavy grit eh…? Dang! The second tone sounds amazing for the type of distortion I like.

Damn… I think I’m in trouble. It could even do fuzzy bit I can see from there….

how wide is it? Like an Alpha Omega/B7k kind of thing?

this could potentially replace the woolly mammoth, Blackstone Mosfet and lil fella and almost pay itself that way………

Could do mini tuner, el capo and c4 synth (c4 would do chorus, octaver, filter and synthy lead stuff of course).

    HMMMMMM….!!!

    Ah now, behave yourself @Ander87

Threaded saddle pieces so easy fix.

Except there are no retention slots for the saddle screws on the bridge so the bridge pieces will get pulled all over the place.

It's a fix that shouldn't be necessary anyway
