I noticed a few months ago on Instagram that Joey Sturges (I think!) recommends running a mix through an IR loader with IRs for various commercially available outputs like laptops, iphone speakers, etc. for mix checking. Maybe worth a shot. I'd imagine the released tracks you mention have more pseudo-bass than REAL bass.

It took me quite a while to find all the parts (at least an hour looking differnt places) so there is that too - along with the heartbreak of having ineveitably ordered the wrong part for something key!
I just bought a kit and pre-drilled enclosure from Musikding!

Interesting - I do love an LDR build! Let us know how it goes.
I'm just about to start a https://www.pedalpcb.com/product/generaltso/Clones the ThorpyFX Fat General that has a couple of LDR in the circuit.
Good choice, a top notch compressor!

Any idea about how this compares to the Vox Amplug for bass headphone amp?
Different league altogether, but for a different purpose really...

Without question its the Ashdown James Lomenzo Hyperdrive pedal. Been through some big money drive pedals but always come back to the J-Lo. Nothing else I've found does quite what it does.
Never mind the fact it has a HUGE footprint, Ashdown's entirely useless VU meter and more controls than are strictly necessary - I keep threatening to sit down and build a compacted version for myself - it just sounds SO GOOD!

Collection only... DAMMIT!!! SO.MUCH.WANT.

Feature list looks great. Aesthetically not so much. Not a cheap unit either!

I mean to see if the few pedals I have that are "set and forget" would fit under the riser

Time to get the tape measure out!

That's a very interesting little pedalboard... I wonder if there's enough space under the tier for "set and forget" pedals... Hmm... @Spoonman can you confirm?

Toss a coin. You'll find you've subconsciously made up your mind already depending on whether the result pleases you or not.
If not, maybe neither of them are for you.
If it were me I'd go maple because I have the rosewood P thing covered.

The preamp should also differ. Yours should be the EMG BTS (unless the previous owner changed it). The Euro 4, which indeed started in 2001, came with the Aguilar OBP-1, succeeded in 2003 by the first version of the Spector TonePump. 2004 saw then the introduction of the Euro 4LX and the maple/walnut/alder body wings "sandwich".
Every day's a school day!

Think @Eldon Tyrell is on the money. It has solid maple wings so pre-Euro from my understanding.

I like the look of some of their stuff. There are a whole host of different kits on their site.
I would be very interested to know how the ordering & delivery process goes and whether it gets delayed or you get stung for a lot of VAT etc. Please keep us posted.
I order from Musikding a lot. I've found them to have the most reliable kit contents of anyone I've ordered from. Each resistor labelled. No VAT or import charges as yet. Shipping usually 7-10 days. Vast selection of kits available. Klaus rocks!

Aw man... Justin bought another Vigier or I'd be in serious trouble...

That would be a great pedal! I’ve decided I’m taking mine to my gig on Saturday, fortunately it’s only marginally wider than my Darkglass XU, so I’ll just put it on the board in place of that. I think it would’ve sold in spades had it been the same size/form factor as something like a B3K. I know the VU meter is kind of Ashdowns trademark, but I am sure most players would gladly sacrifice it to make the pedal much smaller
Never been a fan of the vu in a pedal. Totally pointless...
