1. Hi all, Love this cab but it's just too big for the function gigs I'm currently doing, can make do with a single Aguilar 112 so this must go.. Old school horizontal T212, 600watts at 4ohms in good condition. It has a tweeter also if your into that.. Sounds wonderful with my Rebelhead but I just can't be bothered to carry it anymore as it weighs 36kg!! Comes with a padded cover too... I'm sure I'm going to regret selling it as it's one of the best sounding cabs I've owned but as I'm not using it it seems mad to hang on to it. Bargain at £295 Collected!!
2. Hi all,[s][/s] The model is a Bacchus Venus 5 from 2002, it's in fantastic condition and looks as good as new. There are some very minor marks on the back but they are very hard to see (if you hold it up to the light they are just visible..) It has a 34" scale, a swamp ash body with maple neck and rosewood fingerboard. I've just had the scales out and it weighs in at 9lbs (maybe just a tad over). The pups and preamp are Bacchus own designs, it's configured with vol/blend/treble/bass both the treble and the bass are cut and boost type with a centre detent. The string spacing at the bridge is 18.5mm. The sound is very Marcus with plenty lows and clear highs. It also comes with a hiscox liteflite. I'm looking for [s]£800[/s] £699
3. If I use this as a thumbrest on my P Bass will it make me appreciably louder than the rest of the band?
4. Traded my Overwater for Matt's Bacchus, went smooth as...great guy to deal with... Cheers Matt!
5. This is the last thing to go before I can by my new acoustic...my current acoustic... The model is a Vintage V1500N complete with a new Kinsman hard case. The guitar must be all of 3 months old and has been played probably no more than 3 - 4 hours and has never been taken out from my home, it is as close as you can get to being new!! There are no marks on it at all, has just been fitted with a new set of Elixirs only hours ago also. The guitar was bought for a recording project which is now complete so it has to make way for (hopefully) a Lowden!! All of the woods are solid, not laminate or nato. It plays very well since it has had a good setup and has a typically deep dreadnought sound, quite scooped, great for strumming or flatpicking. The action is quite low but it doesn't suffer from buzzes or rattles, the build quality is also excellent. I'm sure these guitars are built in China but you wouldn't be able to tell this apart from a Japanese or an American guitar and I wouldn't hesitate in buying one again (in fact they also do a parlour model which I'm interested in trying). Went to a couple of local guitar shops yesterday and it was suprising how many guitars around the £700 mark couldn't shine a light to this model, including a Breedlove which was a complete joke at £699 (although there was a £240 Recording King parlour guitar which was a total peach!) Anyway, here is the spec from the website: Vintage® V1500N Acoustic Series Top: Solid German Spruce Back: Solid Indian Rosewood Sides: Solid Indian Rosewood Purfling: Inlaid Abalone Binding: Flame Maple/Black/Ivory – Top Flame Maple/Black/Ivory – Sides Soundhole: Inlaid Abalone Back/Bottom Centre Line: as per body binding Neck: Mahogany, Maple Binding Fingerboard: Bound Rosewood Bridge: Rosewood Scale: 642mm Tuners: Gold Grover® 102G Finish: Natural Satin ‘The V1500 is a bold, sonorous performer, with a rich low-end follow-through’ ‘Presentation quality is also enhanced by excellent build tidiness and good timber selection’ ‘...the whole quality of tone and texture is one you’d associate with a more expensive instrument’ ‘To be able to buy into a more upmarket rosewood spec at this kind of money, and on an instrument so elegantly kitted out, is a real find’ Jerry Uwins – Guitar & Bass Magazine There are dozens of glowing reviews all over the net for this guitar, I'm sure it won best under £1000 in guitarist mag too. Due to the newness of this guitar I'd be looking at £220 plus postage including the new Kinsman hardcase which was £50 making a saving of £130 over a new one. The guitar retails for £449 but can be had for £299 from most stores. Phew....here's the pics...
6. High spec 2 channel 31 band graphic eq. In excellent condition, only a very small amount of wear noticeable where the rack bolts have been. Just a couple of years old, very lightly used. Here is a link to some techy stuff...
7. Forgot to mention, comes with a gator hardcase also...
8. For those interested in the weight it is 10.4 lbs exactly...
9.
It's me Fender 62 reissue Jazz up for sale (now on the second page)
It looks lush...shame, I'm really after a decent acoustic for once, or maybe a Tele for the studio...
10. Hi Rich, I don't blame you..what's the stackpot?? Ahh, nice jazz....
11. Cheers! I knew I would have missed something...it is 34" scale.
12. Since I've been reacquainted with my old Overwater I'm going to have to let this one go. Purchased from the fantastic richardd in January this year, I have enjoyed playing this bass immensely but when my old Overwater came up for sale I jumped at the chance... This particular Valenti is a Roscoe Beck alike with the following spec: Alder P style Body Pau Ferro Fretboard Sherwood Green Finish w/Matching H/S Nordstrand Dual Coil pickups 24 Frets, 19mm string spacing Black Hardware HipShot B style bridge UltraLite tuning gears Humbucker/Single coil mode for each pickup Tortoise P/G Aguilar OBP-1 (bass/treble boost only) Passive mode - volume pull pot Contoured heel for easier access to the upper frets A wide range of fender-esque tones are available and it is supremely easy to play. Build quality is second to none, the fit and finish being perfect. There is some very minor buckle rash and a tiny nick in the headstock, other than that it's in great condition. I'd be looking at £775 cash or a trade for a mex/jap Tele (plus cash) or a trade for a decent acoustic guitar.... In some of the photos the bass looks slightly blue for some reason, the ones where it looks green are more like how it actually looks. The photos in this thread are probably a truer representation of the colour. Cheers, Sean. 13.
Does this have a HDMI input?
No, it's VGA only...
14.
I was hoping for a 23" speaker
Haha...and that would be just for personal stage monitor too..
15. Topic title says it all really...Picked it up as a standby a while back and used it on a couple of gigs and to my suprise it actually sounded pretty good I don't know how old it is, I bought it used and it's a little bit scuffed here and there but nothing too shabby. Rated at 240 watts @ 8 ohms, in reality goes plenty loud (I've got the Laney badge somewhere too...) Looking for £50 collected. Cheers. 16. Acer X233HB monitor in original box inc cables in excellent (as new) condition...£75 plus postage. Paid £129.99 for at Comet in October last year, just found receipt! (how sad??) Here is a link to a review and technical info..
17. Having a grand clearout to try and recoup funds after the summer hols!! First up is my Mbox 2 Mini which has been used a handful of times and comes with original box/disc/Pro Tools 8 in excellent condition. The cheapest new price I found online was Digital Village at £208 so I'm looking for £115 for it plus postage (which shouldn't be much over £5 I wouldn't imagine). Here is a link to the spec on the DV website... Anything you need to know, please ask. Cheers.
18. Cheers mate, just reciprocated... Tha Valenti is fantastic by the way, loving the tones this thing can get....
19. Just bought Rich's old Valenti, fantastic bass exactly as described. Rich is a pleasure to deal with, all went swimmingly. For anyone looking to deal with this geezer you can do so with total confidence. Cheers mate...
20. I picked up a Rebelhead for £699 from Sounds Live last week, seems the price is dropping a little which can't be a bad thing...
