2.
I was hoping for a 23" speaker
Haha...and that would be just for personal stage monitor too..
3. Topic title says it all really...Picked it up as a standby a while back and used it on a couple of gigs and to my suprise it actually sounded pretty good I don't know how old it is, I bought it used and it's a little bit scuffed here and there but nothing too shabby. Rated at 240 watts @ 8 ohms, in reality goes plenty loud (I've got the Laney badge somewhere too...) Looking for £50 collected. Cheers. 4. Acer X233HB monitor in original box inc cables in excellent (as new) condition...£75 plus postage. Paid £129.99 for at Comet in October last year, just found receipt! (how sad??) 5. Having a grand clearout to try and recoup funds after the summer hols!! First up is my Mbox 2 Mini which has been used a handful of times and comes with original box/disc/Pro Tools 8 in excellent condition. The cheapest new price I found online was Digital Village at £208 so I'm looking for £115 for it plus postage (which shouldn't be much over £5 I wouldn't imagine). Here is a link to the spec on the DV website... Anything you need to know, please ask. Cheers.
6. Cheers mate, just reciprocated... Tha Valenti is fantastic by the way, loving the tones this thing can get....
7. Just bought Rich's old Valenti, fantastic bass exactly as described. Rich is a pleasure to deal with, all went swimmingly. For anyone looking to deal with this geezer you can do so with total confidence. Cheers mate...
8. I picked up a Rebelhead for £699 from Sounds Live last week, seems the price is dropping a little which can't be a bad thing...
9. One thing I remembered when I was taking the pics is that the little LED light above the "i" on iAmp has never worked, thought it might be worth mentioning, of course this doesn't affect the performance of the amp in anyway! Cheers...
10. Here we go...at last... 11. No, they don't have a built in tuner any more, this is a newer model.
12. Hi Rasta, none whatsoever it's never let me down once. If your cabs can take it you can dial in pretty much any amount of bottom end using the 4 band para eq, it also goes down to 2 ohms so it might give you the option of using multiple cabs to move more air.
13. The CXL 112's have gone so just the iAmp 800 left. It comes complete with Euphonic Audio luxury padded gigbag, rack ears etc..£400 Pics will follow, it's in great nick incidentally...
14. Time for a change and have my eye on something different but need to sell my rig to fund it... I have an iAmp 800 and 2 cxl 112's and would like to sell as a complete rig if possible. Will put pics up as soon as I get a chance. Open to offers!

17.
im not using amplitude for the bass now, just guitar cause it sounds awesome so by doing that i will get the sound thats played in amplitube recorded? this must be like pulling teeth....
Sounds like your using Amplitube as a standalone piece of software rather than running it as a VST plug-in right? If so, rather than running a seperate instance of Amplitube you just need to select it as an insert plug-in on the track that you want to record guitar on in reaper.
18.
But what's the one piece of advice I keep seeing on BC regarding beginner purchases? - Try a few and see what takes your fancy.
Good advice, unfortunately the ability to do this is becoming less common as the manufacturers are battling against software piracy and are reluctant to allow trial versions to be available for download. None of the manufacturers I mentioned in my post have demo versions available, Cakewalk and Ableton do I believe but unfortunately pirate copies of their software are all over the net. The phrase stuck between a rock and a hard place springs to mind...
19. Hi Al, Don't know if you're going to stick with Cubase or not but there is a great resource with video tutorials here. Cubase is pretty much at the top of the tree when it comes to DAWs along with Pro Tools, Pyramix, Logic et al. They're all good and each have their pros and cons, I would suggest that those telling you to avoid it simply don't like the GUI or maybe have never put the time in to learn how to use it (something you're going to have to do with any DAW incidentally). I use Cubase (Nuendo), Pyramix and Pro Tools at work and once you know them they all do the same thing. For more help with learning the software you could do worse than browse through the many Cubase Notes articles available on the sound on sound website. Here are 112 of them to get you started! Good luck and enjoy.. Cheers, Sean.
20. Hi Tim, I'm assuming that the Boss pedal was bypassed right? If you use the HiZ input on your FA-101, you won't need a DI box (or the Boss pedal). As for the tone change (whether it's an improvement or not is personal opinion) it's down to cost cutting on behalf of Boss by not using a true bypass design. See here for more info. All the best, Sean.
21.
yeh got a Lightsnake USB cable And yeh, this is all fairly complicated :S
If you want to monitor Amplitube while you record I would recommend trying Reaper (because it's very cheap and has a relatively high spec), you may still run into latency problems however. To reiterate what Eight said I imagine you will have to use the ASIO4ALL driver with this to get the best results. If this doesn't give you any joy you're going to need a 'proper' audio interface... Good luck and let us know how you get on
22. Hi Randy, Just to add, you're going to need an audio interface of some description to get the signal into the 'puter in the first place (apologies if this is teaching yer granny...!) or do you have one already?
