Hi all, Have recently upgraded the PA so have this great active sub for sale. It has a solid 13ply birch cabinet with a B&C neo 15" speaker and a 900w amp with all the protection circuitry built in. It weighs about 40kg and is a 1 man lift, I wouldn't want to go up or down stairs with it on my own (but have done so in the past). It comes with an FBT cover also. If your not familiar with FBT they are an Italian brand who compete with the likes of RCF, JBL, QSC and the likes...the Maxx 10sa is a significant step up from the likes of the Mackie SWA1501 or the RCF 705a however. 1 of the FBT subs would roughly be the equivalent of 2 of the Mackie/RCFs. It retails for around £1300 so I would be looking for £600 for a quick sale (it's somewhat in the way here at the mo'!) collection only I'm afraid (I'm just north of Newcastle). Would consider trading with studio mic (or other studio gear). Here are the specs: System Type: 1 way, Bass Reflex design Dispersion: Omnidirectional Components: B&C 15” LF woofer Protection: FBT ADAP® Protection circuitry Frequency Response: 36Hz - 125 Hz Inputs: Balanced Neutrik combo jack, XLR, ¼”TRS Suspension Points: N/A Outputs: Balanced Neutrik® XLR link out Power Output: 900w RMS Enclosure Material: 3/4"-13 ply Birch plywood Sensitivity: 100 dB @ 1 watt, 1 meter Dimensions: 19”w x 24.80”h x 25.20”d Maximum SPL: 129.5 dB Net Weight: 90.4 lbs. Active Crossover Frequency: 120Hz Shipping Weight: 100 lbs. If you have any questions please ask! Cheers, Sean.
Don;'t suppose you fancy a Strat? US '62 Vintage re-issue 3 tone burst, Rosewood, 'C' profile neck, Partchment plates... Ok it's not a bass... I admit it; or maybe a Trace AH350SMX and either a 2x15 or 810 (both Trace) and some pennies??? The Bacchus is too pretty not to ask... as you're in Northumberland I may be able to deliver... (the cabs especially the 810 are not on the little side...) Andy
Hi Andy, Sorry, neither of those things tempt me, although that Strat looks pretty...the only thing that might interest me for a part exchange are studio microphones or maybe a g&l tribute 2500... Thanks anyway!
Mike Walsh of Zoot/Purple Chilli would make one to fit. http://www.purple-chili.com/iceni-zoot/ser...atch-plates.htm That said I used to own the Bacchus Impression that has just sold and now have a Bacchus Standard, (which looks virtually the same as this). Both had clear scratchplates that I didn't think I would like, but in the flesh you realise it would be a sin to cover up such a fantastic piece of wood.
I agree, personally I wouldn't touch it, it's a beautiful piece of wood. I can't really find any differences between this and the Bacchus Standard, not sure what makes it a Venus??

Okay, I've just printed out an American Jazz 5 string pickguard to scale from this great website.....very handy... It's similar and could possibly be made to fit but it's different in two areas, firstly the size of the pickup is different and secondly the area where it meets the fingerboard is curved on the template whereas the fingerboard actually has straight edges. Here's a quick photo which will explain it better: The screws are mostly in the same place but some aren't quite, I think it would probably be easier to just get one made than to alter an existing one. Hope this helps...
