1. Humpty Bumpty. BDDI is sold. The rest is still available.
2. For Sale or trade. All pedals in great condition, no velcro attached. I would prefer meeting in Liverpool St/Old Street/London Bridge areas (depending on time of day), but will post if neccessary. Cash (in person) or Paypal (+ fees) or Bank transfer. Tradewise i'm, really looking for guitar pedals, in similar, good, boxed condition: Lovepedal Amp 50 Subdecay Liquid Sunshine ZVex Box of Rock ZVex Distortron Cornell 1st Fuzz [s]Sansamp BDDI, owned and cared for since new (circa 2004) £SOLD[/s] [s]EBS Multi Comp True Bypass for those who care. Great valve OD pedal that can warm up a SS amp/combo, add a touch of break-up, or deliver full-on grind. Superb with passive Jazz and Precision basses. It has two Electro-Harmonix 12AY7 valves. Swap 12AX7s for more gain/distortion, or 12AU7s for less gain/distortion. Boss FBM-1 '59 Bassman Pedal. 6. When i've sold basses in the past, i removed the pictures after the sale (but left all other info) so that certain types don't copy them and set up fake adverts elsewhere.
7. Hello, I was hoping someone could help me out. I've been fiddling with Garageband '11, in particular with the guitar amps. I'm used to Pro Tools at work and home, so it's still new to me. Anyway, when i select an amp set up, i have some mystery reverb, which isn't coming from the amp sim (i turn the amp-sim knob all the way off and the mystery reverb is still there). I don't think it's the master track either as i can switch it on and off, with no difference. I'm connected to my mac through an Avid Mbox btw, which i am also monitoring through via the headphone out. I've checked the mbox on-board DSP and that's not it. Any help appreciated. It's really confusing me and driving me a bit nuts and i have to get rid of it. Thank you. EDIT: problem solved
8. What about this? Ashdown's take on an Ampeg B-15. Quite pricey.
9. Bought a pedal. Good comms and fast, well packaged shipping. Ta
10.
there's even a street named after Joey Ramone in New York (well, if not a whole street then a 'corner' anyway, lol).
Yeah, Joey Ramone Place, off Bowery. Nice bit of RnR history that bass. I only have some signed, original LPs
11. I'd almost swear he was using an EHX English Muff'n, because it sounds exactly like that on a Precision.
12. My previous last drummer had a nice expensive one. At rehearsals it was lovely, because there was a volume knob on the drum kit for once. It sounded like a perfectly tuned and mic'd up kit, not like someone 'putting up a shed' which is what you normally get on those beaten up rehearsal room kits. Live was another thing, on stage at least, because most venues don't actually invest in decent working stage monitors. FOH was brilliant though. I always prefer the look of an acoustic kit though.
13. One man's "boom" is another man's "fatness". You can get rid the boom with a simple roll off of the bass eq. But yes, they're pretty fat for a hybrid amp. If you a/b it with an AD200B you may, or in this case, i noticed the AD to be naturally thicker and more organic, but the Terror does a very good job. To me its sounds vintage, warm and fat and comes in a nice little easy to transport package.
14.
@ tee really not sure what valves are in there, seems strange to me though that its responding differently to other peoples units.
Found this on the Ashdown website. It's from the pdf manual The Little Bastard is a 30w all valve bass head mainly designed for recording and playing at home it features a two ECC83 valves in the preamp, an ECC82 as a driver valve and four El84 in the output.the preamp is similar to that fitted into the 550 touring and spyder in that it features a totally passive eq otherwise the pre amplifiers are totally different.
15. Is it not because there's a 12AU7 as a 'driver valve' (and two 12AX7s in the preamp section). You won't get any gain out of the 12AU7. They stay nice and clean.
16. Does this mean Matt Cameron has left Pearl Jam or he now has his fingers in two pies? Dave Abbruzzese era PJ was the sh*t. I stopped listening to their subsequent releases after he left. The music got a bit boring imo.
17. Nice to see Chris Cornell back where he belongs and not in that other nonsense band, or releasing weak solo material. I don't think i'll approach Soundgarden with the same big enthusiasm i had for them and their albums at the time, but this will probably be a better offering than the majority of today's mainstream rock bands.
18. I'm not really familiar with Stingrays, sorry. All i know is that it's a pretty normal/classic feeling P bass neck, ie bigger than a jazz. I don't tend to worry about the rest. I think it's a 9.5 radius fingerboard.
19. It's a standard nut width. You can adjust the truss rod without taking the neck off.
