1. True, a lot of music today is cack. The internet can be good for finding new bands, but today you have to wade through an almighty river of sh*t, because well, there are just more bands around nowadays. Ignore the 'music scene' that is pushed upon you. I for one, do not listen to the radio and haven't for more than a decade. Might i suggest checking out podcasts in particular genres of music, generally made by enthusiastic music fans with their fingers on the pulse and a huge vinyl/CD collection. Or alternatively, websites, blogs and labels. You can discover a whole world of new bands you had no idea existed.

3. I've owned one for a while and i play it through Aguilar DB cabs, which in my opinion are better than the Orange OBC 410s, to my ears at least. The no headroom is BS. Who would say that? I like simple amps and guitars with as few knobs, switches and pickups as possible. This is a simple amp, which sounds great when you first plug in (I use a US Precision btw). Thick fat valve tone, that very much does the job.
4. Orange are also bringing out new bass cabs. An OBC810 and three new 'Smart Power' cabs in 210, 212 and 410 configs. I guess these will go with the bass terror, as they're supposed to be smaller and more portable. more here
5.
I love the one on the left and I'm usually all about the maple.
The one on the right (maple) is my No.1 and it will be seeing action tonight.
6. Olympic white P's with black scratch plates. Me like. Here are my two US Ps
7. Ok so i will do some net research for one, but just in case people out there are in the know and can point me in a good direction. Basically i need a minimum, 4 channel mono mixer/maximum 8 channel, for putting my drum machine (stereo), bass and guitar (POD) through, so that i can monitor it all on headphones. It would be good to have two means of monitoring, ie for two people. So i'm thinking main output plus headphone socket. I was thinking like a little Mackie or the like with a few channel strips, basic eq etc, but it seems they are more expensive than i had anticipated. Any help appreciated.
8.
Im amazed this hasn't gone yet! Ive got the vintage version (V4B-AV) These are a killer bass amp - buy it now!!!
There was a vintage version? Nice. Can we see pics
9.
Is the 200W Orange loud enough? I know its diff with the tube heads.
Loud enough for what exactly? It's 200W of tube power. Yes it's f**king loud. If i wanted to, i could drown out my drummer, guitarist and singer.
10.
Lovely looking rig. Agreed about the eq. Fatter than a large hippo at an all you can eat diner. I really need to try out a old school P through this rig. I imagine it would sound delicious.
I play US Precisions through mine and an old 70s Mustang. All sound super lovely.
11. I love my Orange. Fat, thick, warm. I swear you don't have to touch the EQ even. It sounds great when you switch it on
12. I take it you're using the passive input on the MAG (not the active)? Watch your EQ. The more bass you add, the less perceivable volume you'll get out of it. Use a Precision Jazzes are weedy IMO.
13. Yes, there is a speakon jack at the back.
14. I'm looking for an all original '64 kettle lead. Failing that, a 'kitchen closet classic' or a relic on a modern Maplin job. Do you have any?
15. My band = Moscow Disco As usual, Myspace doesn't exactly help your tunes with it's player.
16. I'm actually remarkably surprised/happy with Fender 8250M .45 .65 .85 .110TW that came on my 2008 US P. This is the first time i haven't instantly restrung a new bass. In fact, i bought another set. The taperwound E does a great job slotting into the saddle. They also have 5 string sets. Oh and i normally use DR Lo Riders (kerching) Edit: just seen the above post. I use them through-body. I think it's the best fit for them.
17. Excellent. M-M-M-M-M-M-M-Meal Meal

Ampeg??

My experience of solid state Ampegs (owned one, played a few others), is that they are a little quiet.
19. Nice! Would look great on top of my Orange AD200B I'd like to have a closer look though.
20. Have they returned to MIJ? Because i have noticed 'new' Japanese basses with Made in Japan on them.
21. My dream gig would be my current band, with me making all the decisions
