  1. I have owned a pair of DB112's and SL112's. I'd use both cabs as my main rig and the single for smaller gigs, musical theatre jobs and such. I also bought a BF 0ne 10 to pair with a TE ELF. All are excellent at what they do, but IME, the BF one 10 odden't keep up with the single SL112. They're both great and the BF punches well above its size though. I'd like to try a compact rig of 2 x BF one 10's with my Aggy TH500..
  2. Hahaha! Cheers Phil. I've enjoyed the content so far and once I finish my Masters (why I decided to do a FT MSc in a year, during lockdown I'll never know) then I'll take a deeper dive and maybe even book a few lessons (if you're still doing them). Best.
  3. Bass royalty indeed......... Hey Phil. Have subscribed to your youtube channel............ Best. Jamie
  4. I have a pair of these in a box which haven't been used for about 5 years. I had them in one of my Jazzes for a while and they really are excellent - and run hot!!
  5. I have one of these and it’s a great bit of kit. great for headphone practice, great to use as an MP3 player to boost the signal.
  6. This looks a great cab and just what I'm after - trouble is, as with everyone - covid! You're in London, I'm 200 miles away in Wales!! Bugger
  7. Are there any BC'ers near enough to his address in Leicester to pick up the goods, then post them on for a small fee? If I was closer, I'd offer to collect on your behalf (and Mr Walsh) and post them all on for you guys.
  8. I've got a red with RW board 3 EQ Stingray I had from new in 2002 (folks got it for my 21st) and they paid (a quite specific figure, which is why I remember) £949.00 and I thought that was a decent price back then. It was my main bass for years and years and I'll never sell it. I don't use it so much now, but it's perfect for so many settings - last time it had any real use was doing some music theatre and I always seem to take it to the studio 'just incase'.
  9. If only I wasn’t staring down the barrel of a possible redundancy.......😭😭
  10. I had looked at these, and the Ashdown 30w version etc but wasn’t sure they’d have enough power
  11. Nope, not specially but I do like the vintage thing. in my mind I’d love an original 70’s Blue Line Ampeg Head and 8x10 cab
  12. Cheers chaps..... will get looking. i did notice the v4b with 212 cab and wondered how that would sound! cheers
  13. Hey guys, hope you’re all keeping well? essentially, I have a valve amp itch I think I need to scratch! as I’m not gigging 3/4 times a week anymore I’m considering moving back from the lightweight class D side (Aguilar TH500 and SL cabs) and going vintage and valve. i use P and Jazz basses. i don’t need the power and weight of an SVT or similar, or even a DB750 / 751 (I know it isn’t ALL valve). so I was thinking maybe something like a Fender Bassman 135. i also thought about an Ampeg v4 too. i just need something I can gig with a full band with. anything else worth considering and looking for? was thinking of pairing with a nice BF cab too with silver grille for that retro look! cheers
  14. given the current circumstances and lack of gigs / pay for people, I'm going to remove this from sale tomorrow. Hope everyone is ok!!!
  15. Thanks Frank. I haven't actually played through it, but its sat here, still boxed and unused!!
