  1. £215 posted UK mainland. Perfect back up head and I understand makes a great noise, inc built in tuner and some other 'witchcraft' . PM for further info. It's brand new, never used and still in original packaging. Inc carry bag and IEC lead too,
  2. b) kind of - maybe not "you're not good enough" though, as this may cause long term issues with his playing / development. Maybe something more constructive - that you're looking for someone to fully contribute to writing and the creative process and that he's just not ready / at the same level as everyone else, which will cause frustrations for both parties. OR,if he's keen and you could happily be with the type of personality in the band situation, do you have the time to spend with him helping him develop?? I've been in bands with people with amazing ability, but horrendous personalities - I'd go for the better personality 9 times out of 10.
  3. bump. Email if you need pics, but it's brand spanking new, never been used and still in ALL the original packaging and 2 boxes!!
  4. Weekend drop - £215 inc UK mainland delivery. It's sat here unused and I have no need for it anymore!!
  5. REDUCED - £215 £200 inc Mainland UK shipping. Hello all, I have a brand new, still in the box and never switched on Peavey Minimax 500 bass head for sale. I bought it as a 'tide me over' head, but I've got no use for it and have seen something I do want! It's been out of the box once, which was me checking it over when it arrived. Other than that, it' all as is! I haven't yet registered the guarantee, I've had it a month. Here's the specs - https://www.andertons.co.uk/bass-dept/bass-amps/bass-amp-heads/solid-state-bass-amp-heads/peavey-mini-max-500w-bass-head Price inc delivery UK mainland. No trades. Thanks!!
  6. It depends what I'm playing (piece and instrument) and also whether I'm reading the dots or playing through the changes of a progression I already know, but I always count and subdivide In some instances, but yes, counting is important - (a) to 'know' where you are in a bar / phrase and to 'tie' in with other instruments (b) to maintain tempo and to not rush 'inside the bar' if that makes sense. Groove and feel is also important of course. When playing with an orchestra, due to the tonnes & tonnes of bars rest, I end up marking on key 'entries', then might count the last 4 bars or so then leading into my next entry.
  7. I've got an awesome Quad 606 power amp with 66 preamp and 67 CD player running through a big pair of Tannoy D500's. From around 1994! It still rules. I'll upload a picture later
  8. Might not be light, but you'll get a loud and well built trace elliott combo for under £300 that will be awesome - except the weight!! Have you thought about a class D head and single 12" neo cab? - granted - you're not going to get one for under £300. Maybe look for a used Trace ELF head and a Barefaced Midget or something. - more like £500 or so used though. Maybe a TC combo?
  9. Final price reduction to £1450 before I withdraw this from sale if you buy all 3 inc flightcases and 2 x speakon cables.
