3.
Another member of the 'i love the white jazz' club here!! Have you sought any help with the white-pearl pickguard addiction??!!
heh heh its actually the same guard, the squier now has a plain white that was on the 75 when i got it. I see the paerl as my 'Phil Lynot type trademark accesory thang!' glad you guys like the basses.
4. i have very long hair heh heh (and a nice furry markbass stack)
5. decided not to hack up a brand new 2008 mij jazz bass heh heh, on the advice of just about everyone!
6. My girlfriend (now wife) bought me a subscripion for my birthday once which was just the best present ever as we were very poor, real hand to mouth stuff, and when my 1st subscription issue came it was the last ever one, never been so gutted in my life! Then of course it moved back to guitarist with lots of promises and even angry letters fom guitarits saying 'we dont want them in our mag!' and withing about three months lo and behold the bass content was down to pretty much zilch! Happy memories though, and like i say i still read em to this day.
7. for gigs i use a couple of markbass bass keepers, ace bits of kit
8. I was gonna wait till my geddy had come and i had fitted the villex, and a proper (unbutchered) scratchplate to the white one and do a full family porn post (ooer!) but heck, heres what im wearing this season.. '08 MIJ 75ri: my squier VMJ: bassmaster funk the LX: still got my piezo ray: and of course, although now sans retro, my '90 62ri MIJ :
9. just a mobile phone pic but heres mine... and nothing fancy but works for me...
10. i used to have that bass fretless n all, only mine was black on the back of the neck too, man i miss that bass, i paid £275 for it!
11. ive got a lovely honey vioin model too, bought from a zero feedback seller in great nick on ebay for £400 superb set up and really, really lightweight with a very skinny neck. My fave streamer so far including my pretty old stage 1 i sold. I remember the red streamer well from bassist, infact apart from missing two issues (the one with Flea on the cover and the one with Mani on the cover if anyone has em?) I still have the lot and read them pretty much daily along with the new mag, they are dotted all over the house much to the wifes annoyance! I was reading that particular review in the bath just this week!
12. thanks thats exactly what im up to, thought it was about time i started carrying the little blighters, my luck will run out eventually!, i just get greeted by pages of undecipherable numbers when looking for the damn things though!, i think ive found some on ebay.com
13. sweet looks a bit like my old kaman gtx53 that i started on!
14. D'oh!, i remember them from school technology lessons! (long time ago!)
15. i really like that actually mate, a bit like the fender bailey sig
16. I decided to buy some spare fuses for my littlemark 2 according to the back its a t4 250v fuse. But when i looked on maplins there was just tons of stuff and i couldent find one which was clearly the ones i wanted, so i thought id ask you lot instead cause you lot are ace, and im a massive spanner at this side of things! Can anyone point me at the right ones to get so i can buy em online?
17. That 'bass' is covered (hehheh) i have a 75ri, a squier vmj and a geddy on the way plus my other basses so the wood necked jazz is taken care of!
18. hmm, tricky one this, its my sorta number one bass that ill always keep and has become a bit of a 'test bed' more than a gigging bass. Ill prob leave it as it is for now i guess, maybe, perhaps!?
19. Only im thinking of replacing my status graphite neck on my jazz with an allparts maple one, but cant afford the neck without selling my graphite one which would suck if the wooden wasnt as good. Did anyone else ever go back? (bearing in mind this is being thought of for purely shallow cosmetic reasons, the graphite neck is great, just kinda looks wrong on my jazz)
