1.
Just wondered if anyone has experience of Thomann delivery times via the free UPS service. My Geddy Lee jazz was dispatched on Tuesday pm & I was wondering when to expect it? Yours impatiently, etc...
Best thing to do mate is go out. It will turn up then, guaranteed!
2. I had my eye on that one, I got my aerodyne from John and often keep an eye out for new stock. Beatiful bass mate.

Marleaux

It appears Chris Overwater is the UK importer. The Js in the range look stunning.
This site seems to be worth a look too. I've never used them, but the prices look good: http://craftedinjapan.co.uk/gallery_74489.html ....serious GAS warning though!
These prices are good IMO, bearing in mind all taxes/VAT are included. Saves all the worry and headache too. Got access to some lovely Jazzes on there.

7. Congrats OTPJ mate. I know what they look like but still post some pics of it when it arrives. A comment on the setup etc from Thomann would be good too.
8.
What sort of tone is he aiming for with his pups? He doesn't do p/j? Or is it OK to just stick a single jazz with the p? £90, not too pricey.
Andy does do a P/J set at £85. Tempted to get a set for my Aerodyne.
9. Think thats Salmon Pink, very nice. Has it been resprayed perchance? The digs on the heel behind the neck pocket look deep and they are pink!!! Looks like a respray over the damage? Maybe wrong but I really like the colour for some perverted reason.
10.
I literally only got back 30 minutes ago, I want to clean the 2 new (to me) ones up a bit then I'll compare properly, the JV has a badass on it too, and I noticed with the JV that the tuners go the other way (strings are strung correctly though), but on the back of them the spiral bit thingy (that's a technical term) is the other way round to most basses I've played.
Reverse tuners is the recognised nomenclature for such devices......................
11. I dont know Beedster, have not bought/sold a bass off/to him, havent seen his car either. Regardless of that Im sure he is a nice guy. Are you?
12.
I think you may do better if you wait until the free pedal offer has expired, as people may look and think that for £350 they can get a new one with a pedal worth £70, it's not long til the offer ends anyway.
Good point, may relist after the offer ends. Bay fees paid now so might as well let it run.
13. Now on ze Bay! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...p;rd=1&rd=1
14. Sale only Im afraid. Money needed, not more bass gear. Thanks
15. 10 months old . Fantastic condition and very versatile. Looking for £280 (ovno), collection from Chelmsford/Harlow (Essex) or will deliver within 30 miles of Chelmsford free.
16. Already mentioned.......The Real Me - The Who. However, Rio by Duran Duran makes me sit up and get down!!!
17.
It's still only 14.5 inches deep (and 9 inches wide) - but it does look tiny on the peavey cab (which was designed to take the Peavey MkIII head!) Andy
This may give you some idea of depth.
18. Dont know about the J, but the sunburst on the P looks a bit iffy.
19. This seller is often selling some lovely Jap Fenders etc. Has any BCer got experience/info on him? Hes in Japan.
20. My Ashdown Superfly and Peavey 2x10 cabs (4 ohm). Nice, very nice.
21.
Quality. Peavey make some great speakers at prices that make most boutique gear look silly and their latest stuff doesn't even suffer from the weight problem. I strongly recommend stacking the cabs vertically whether using one or both. Alex
|Cheers Alex, will try that suggestion.
22. Ive just got rid of my old Behringer 4 x 10 which I was running off my Ashdown Superfly. Ive just got a pair of 4 ohm 2x10 Peavey TVX cabs. (£145 each!!!). Bloody hell, I thought the old cab sounded good!!! Obviously, with the two 4 ohm cabs Im getting the full available "monty" out of the Ashy, but the sound is a different world!!. Im not comparing to Accus, Epis or the like but for good punchy rock, they sound the nuts. They are small and not too heavy and of course, if I do a smaller gig, I can use 1 cab on its end.....at last, a portable rig!!! The Peavey stuff is very well made and for the bucks, cant fault them. Some pics......
