1. I'm not a fan of slap bass at all but I do admire his style. I do like his fretless playing though, Ink Illusion being my favourite.
2. Just had a Markbass amp delivered from Floyd. Great amp in great condition. Flawless transaction and a gentleman to deal with.
3. Off to see my osteopath this afternoon about mine. Being a gardener with all the asociated bending doesn't help. Fortunately mine is only muscular and not spinal. Still wares you out though. Use a trolly to cart gear around. Saves a lot of trouble and everyone comments "That's a good idea".

5. Have you looked at the programable SansAmps?
6. Depends on the type of music you want to play on one. Great for playing tunes in higher registers and chording. And forgive the shameless plug but I have one for sale HERE on BC
7. Positives of headless? Well as said above, they never go out of tune. They have a straight string pull so no chance of strings slipping on the tuning post. Strings are a doddle to change. With double ball strings you just loosen the tuner slot the string out, slot another in and tune up. I'm naturally going to suggest Status if you can afford one. You won't find any headless Statii with wooden necks though. If you solo the front pickup you get a pretty good Pbass sound. I have a Hohner B2A as well. Everyone always slags off the EMG Select pups but I get a fine sound from mine. Might be best to go the cheaper route first and see how you get on.

12. Thanks Kongo. I tried a set of lighter strings at one point and that made it even easier to play.

14. Thanks Chris, it does play well just two too many strings for me these days.
15. aaaand uuup we go
16. As I haven't used this for years it's time it was moved on. In immaculate condition. Three band EQ, treble, bass and mid. Strung with 30-130. Hum cancelling pickups. Comes with Yamaha fitted case which has a little damage on one corner. Doesn't affect the construction of the case. £475 (or very nearest offer) + shipping. I can deliver to Edinburgh or Newcastle for the cost of fuel.
17. What age is the amp? Where are you based?
18.
can i just ask, why do these basses have 2 strap buttons on the bottom? the lower one seems to be in bit of a far round position
Have you ever tried standing a bass against an amp when it only has one strap button?
19. MArk Owen in Take That plays bass.
20. Last time I heard from Rich OTPJ he had been having some personal problems but was physically fine, just very busy playing to make a living like the rest of us. Status still making replacement necks and as Chris says, give Dawn a phone.
21. Whatever circuit it turns out to have, it still seems to be a lovely looking bass at a good price.
22. Could I just point out that it is the tone control that is active not the volume. Good luck with the sale, seems like a fair price.
23. That's great stuff, just good foot tappin' music. The folk trio I occasionally play in were supporting the Hot Seats in Scottish Borders last night. Just so full of energy.
24.
Two mikes, look a little closer (bottom left)
Three? Top right.
25. That bass is naked in the pic I have from the bass show, no strings. Still a lovely bass James.
