  1. Sorry I didn't mean to make a big deal it's not honestly, just didn't want to be inadvertently making work for you guys
  2. I had a comment moderated for mentioning what excellent value for money a pedal was. I don't expect to be above the law, in fact I don't want to run foul of the mods in any way, their job is thankless enough. I only bother mentioning it because it strikes me that people saying wow great price, or this is really cheap, and so forth are some of the most common reactions we see here.
  3. I have some weird flu virus which makes thinking more challenging than usual. This slows my already rudimentary transcription skills below useful levels.
  4. I have the same pedal (branded by Ammoon otherwise identical) and it's fantastic.
  5. Working on it now Stevie. Should be done by sometime next week.
  6. Thank goodness I am so far away. I'd be 150 quid down for something I simply don't need.
  7. Lot of amp for not a lot of cash. GLWTS
  8. Ironically the only thing I have is a bag of corners
  9. Thanks Bill, I switched to speakons during the gig. Thanks Phil, I squirted and cleaned all the pots and gave them a good wiggle. Been working just fine at home and last night in rehearsal so maybe was just dust.
  10. Spoilsport. As we're being serious, I've never dived into the world of the Muff, how do they differ from others of their ilk? I prefer something a little smooth to a full on fuzz, but I'm always open to temptation.
  11. Sorry @Balcro I missed this - thank you so much for the reply.
  12. I bought it because of the price. I had one conflict with, of all things, the drummer using a wireless of a different make on his keytar (I know) which caused me to experience a weird lagging latency. He ent stright to the PA via cable and all was good. Otherwise no issues at all. I like the size of the unit, I like being able to power off a 9v supply or a usb, I like being able to set it up for different basses and save the set ups, and I like the tuner.
  13. This thread could go south very quickly
  14. And its Tone's DNA apparently. Guess they must have had it tested.
  15. I changed the cable on the night and it worked fine bar a couple of brief cut outs. I did check the speaker out. Think I'll run them for a week practising and at rehearsal. Maybe the clean up has fixed it
  16. ps I suspect its important that the dna is 'vintage' and not just any crappy modern dna.
  17. Watch out, there's a new boy in town. Electro Harmonix advert for a Big Muff reads "EHX has reissued the original 1973 V2 Violet Ram's Head Big Muff Pi and it's dripping with vintage Electro-Harmonix DNA and tone." So I shall rush off to amend my for-sale ads to include the fact that they are replete with the DNA appropriate to thrir manufacturers. Also I am very interested to learn that DNA and tone both 'drip', I had missed this fascinating fact in my admittedly limited study of the science.
  18. I assume PMs cannot be altered after sending to enable recipients of abuse to retain their proof.
  19. I wonder if everyone hasn't missed the point. Is it not possible that Andertons knew exactly what they were doing? Might their understanding of their target audience be deeper than we imagined? After all, just look at the response they have achieved here... PS: I'm becoming irritated with my own habit of ending posts with an 'enigmatic' dot dot dot so I'll just add this bit to fix that.
  20. Interested in a trade for a kidney? Two kidneys?
  21. Hmm. So got it home, opened it up and all connections are solid, clean and as they should be. Maybe this should have been posted to repairs and technical, sorry. Took the speaker output from the amp, checked it (visually) cleaned and put it back. All working, but then it was all working fine until half way through the first set. Only other thing I found was a slightly dirty pot which I cleaned. However I would have thought that ought to cause the sound to deteriorate rather than just cut out. What else can I check?
  22. Good to have a balanced view, no apology needed, your bad experience is just as valid as anyone else's positive one.
  23. I got a friend a dep gig with one of my bands. Afterwards BL said he was good but way too loud for us. I told him and got him a second go. He played more quietly. Now he's the regular dep. Good drummers can adjust. Team players play for team.
