1.
A felt pick? That's interesting, I didn't know they existed... I'm guessing you get that solid pick sound without as much attack?
yes indeed - i nearl bought a leather pick but that was 3.50 and unfortunately i only had 2.50 on me just enough for the felt pick
2. JT dont be like that its a cool song is quite a tricky one too as its a very steady rhythm - am guessing its a sequenced arpeggiated synth line and not a 'proper' bass on the recording we do ramp it up a slight bit too and the guitar is all very effect laden and 'edge' like so sounds a little bit U2-ish we think it works feel free to come to a gig and throw rotten tomatoes if you disagree
3. so ... we've been trying to do taylor swift , style to be precise at first i was fingering but it just wasnt hitting the spot so i tried it with a pick and it began to click straight away so i went out and invested in a new item for my bassing arsenal ... a felt pick bloody marvellous it is
4. spill some sugary lemonade or coke or similar drink on top and wait for it to dry you could do one large spill over the entire top surface or you could save some fizzy pop by just doing four smaller spills directly under where the rubber feet of the amp will sit hope this helps

8.
No Doubt's "Don't Speak"
our band has a few collaborative playlists on spotify - one of them is called 'next new stuff suggestions' guess what just made an appearance rather spookily around about the same time that you posted this thread

10. hartke vx115 has rather too bright annoying compression driver tweeter thingy - would like th eoption of being able to swithc it off completely would this work? (dont want to try it until am certain that it is all ok so as not to place any strange load on the head at all) ta muchly
11. dont judge yourself by what you see as the most conspicuous examples around miss 3 year player whatever here name is, wouldnt have got that gig if she was a size 18 with ginger wirey hair and acne wearing NHS glasses (i do believe there is a thread already on here somehwere discussing the merits of her [s]skimpy clothing[/s] adequate bass playing) likewise history shows us that some players can do much more more - vai had only been playing for 7 years when he was spotted by zappa after transcribing his work if it makes you happy keep on doing it and get constructive advice on how to improve whatever it is you are doing that makes you happy if it makes other people happy and gets them on their feet shaking their groove thang then all the better unless of course you would prefer to be like a NAMM booth/bedroom technical fretw***ing circus freak show
12. Try putting the mobile number into Google and also Facebook search
13. crackly pots are most likely due to either dirt on the tracks or the tracks being damaged wd40 will just loosen/dissolve and dirt stuck on the tracks so may provide a temp fix - if it continues then it most likely will be damaged track on the pot and hence time for replacement
14. and then there's that chris squire chap ... thumb over top of neck, crooked little finger, not to mention the flouncey sleeves getting in the way of everything and playing with a pick instead of fingers tsk tsk stk

20.
If I had £3K to spend on a bass it would be an early 60s P or a Wal. I agree with those who think CS overpriced. I had cause to learn John Mayer's Who Did You Think I Was a while back and that is one great bass line and great fun to play, too.
yes this is a very good track but imho hes very overrated and cant rock a leather cat suit like suzi quattro
