TC Poly clip on is great. Never liked a clip on previously, but trust this. Never liked that thing where you strum all the strings together though.

Has anyone tried using an Orange Terror Bass 500 as a poweramp, with the Kemper through the effects loop? Would this idea be good or bad?

Dunno what year mine is from, but it's never had a problem.

I have one... actually I am onto my second... I used it for only a section of a song live, so quickly whip it off and lob it aside to carry on playing, but without fail always forgot to pick it up at the end of the set, so lost it in Croydon, and it was kindly posted back to me, then lost it in Edinburgh, which I never got back. If I lose this next one, I wont bother with a third.

I would say best is eventide pitchfactor, but sadly not the cheapest

Can anyone tell me what sort of space these things have for controls etc.? Would a darkglass tone capsule preamp fit?

I really need to have a good play on one of these. It looks great, and in theory I think it must surely sound great, but I saw one used live for the first time this weekend and it seemed really weak and thin... Maybe it was just the way the person had it set.

Shouldn't get stung again if it's labelled as a "warranty return" I don't think...

Finally got round to putting my LaBella roundwounds on mine, and it made such a difference. Why would they put such rubbish strings on to send these out?

[/quote] I tend to see most stuff on Facebook groups really, things like one called 'The Math Rock/Instrumental/Post Rock exchange' or on pages and websites for relevant festivals such as ArcTangent Festival. I don't know where exactly Yorkshire you are, but check out a band called Order of Voices, they touch on the Tool-esque. They are from Barnsley/Sheffield type way. You may not be looking in the right places as there are people playing stuff that at the very least touches on prog all over. You tried any prog specific forums maybe?
