1. I just got a Barefaced Super Twelve and it's righteous!!
2. Thanks again for your thoughts guys, much appreciated and keep them coming! I've put the guy off my 3Pro for a couple of weeks, I think I'll pop down to Bass Direct with my S12 and one of my Spectors in the boot and try a few heads out. I'd hate to let the Ampeg go and then regret it. I think the resale value of the GB wouldn't make it worth it, I'd be stuffed getting anything else half decent after. Got a few things to try @ rehearsal tomorrow. Whacking the tube gain on full to go more SS than tube & running the Samsamp through the power section of the SVT - just for sh!ts and giggles!!
3. I think you may be right Chris but, this guy offered me more than I expected for the SVT and I'm thinking I wouldn't get this much for it again. It wouldn't cost me anything to get the GB Shuttle - well, apart from my sanity!! I've got adequate options to try though with the rig I've got: SVT on its own Current combination of Sansamp/SVT & Sansamp through power section on SVT I'll try it all before a dump Ampeg - I owe itt hat much I reckon.
4. Well I'm never satisfied! I've got the option in a Genz Benz Shuttle 9.0 and I really don't know what to do!! With all the buzz but, my reservations of Class D amps - is it worth the jump from the mighty Ampeg?? More advice plz guys!! :-/
5.
Like grunge666, i too have just pressed the button!!! Never heard them or even seen one in the flesh !!! Madness? probably, but not all the reviews can be wrong can they..........
Good man!
6. Fair do's mate - don't give it away though!
7.
Open to offers I guess. Don't want to put it on ebay.
It's not a bad idea mate - mine went for £400+ a few weeks ago
8. GAS!! OMG That's gorgeous! If I'd not just bought a Super Twelve I'd have ripped your arm off!
9.
Cutting out problem.
Isn't it made that you have to go for 'vintage' gear from the same company for more reliability! Sign of the times!
10. Go for it man!! It's an Ampeg SVT!!
11. From my other post: Well my Super Twelve came yesterday and I took it down to our rehearsal room for and hour at 6pm. Ran the 25Hz sinewave through it just to get the drivers moving for a bit. Flattened all the EQ on the 3Pro and left the SansampRBI off. Started tweaking the EQ and hit the low button to boost the bottom end as advised and thought I'd run through a few basslines and mess about for a bit ....... 3 hours later I called it a night! I can't explain how good this cab is! My HLF kicked ass but this kicks its ass! All the bottom end I loved is still there but the mid cut through is phenomenal! It's just ALL there! I was thinking I'd miss the tweeter but nah, I don't need it, I can boost the highs with the sansamp and add a bit of drive to get the full on dirt. To be honest my SVT 3 never sounded so good and I think over the last couple of hours I've decided I'm sticking with it! I'm glad I took the gamble on Barefaced and the posts on here really helped me make, for me, a big descision. I need a Barefaced tshirt now for on stage!
12. It's here! [sharedmedia=core:attachments:97928]

14. I took delivery of a Barefaced Super Twelve today! Just wanted to tell the world!! Alex and Bobby did a great job turning one round for me at short notice - Thank you guys!!
15. I'm in exactly the same position mate. I've got a Barefaced Super Twelve arriving tomorrow - replacing an SVT 410 HLF and now I feel the need to move on my 3pro. But, have no idea why!?!? I use a Sansamp RBI too so, I'm gonna go back to basics. Svt on its own 1st and only add the sansamp if I really need too. I like the idea of a PF500 though....
16. Have a bump on me mate. I used a Laney DP150 for 15 years and it never let me down. Lovely sound too. Sry I'm not looking for anything atm but good luck with the sale.
17. I'll keep you posted on how it goes - I have a feeling I'll be after a new amp too soon! The guy that bought my cab wants my SVT3PRO too now! it never rains...................
18. Thanks for all the input guys - please keep your thoughts coming - really useful! I do like the SVT3, no, I love it but, I can feel a change coming on! LOL
19. I'm in a dilemma! I've used Ampeg for the last 4 years - I wanted an Ampeg rig for 20 years and (following a divorce!) got an SVT 3 and 410HLF along with a Sansamp RBI. . I loved it but, the last few weeks it's all changed. I've sold my HLF and now the geezer wants my SVT3! The HLF is being replaced with a Barefaced Super Twelve and I'm wondering if its time to move on from the mighty Ampeg ? My immediate thought was Mmmm, PF500. But, I do love the SVT3 'valviness' so, Orange? Genz, GK? MOM!!! To be honest - I'm scared!!
20.
There's a few Ampeg owners here wanting these Barefaced cabs! Everyone else fed up with the weight and want some of the easy life too?
The weight was one issue - moving the 410HLF twice a week was a pain but, for me its the mids - I can't hear myself live! The HLF in the low range is awesome but, that's all i could 'feel' - no definition on stage - 20' away it rips your face off but on a small stage - nothing My Spectors are mid scooped too so, no way around it, it had to go (I did nearly cry when the dude picked it up yesterday!) I went for the S12 purely on what I'd read on here - nothing but praise and I can't wait - I've sold my HLF at a loss and a USA P bass as a loss to just to raise the funds for a cab I've never heard! Mad ain't we!
