1. Damn. Guess I'll have to test out the customer support. Thanks for the help.
2. Guess what was waiting for me when I got home today? I've only had a few mins to play around with it but it sounds great! There is one thing though,I can only get the cab working throught he bottom speakon socket. Can you plug the amp head into either speakon or is one an input and one an output?
3. Week 13. I paid the balance last week so fingers crossed it's not too long now!
4. I'm at week 11 waiting for my compact. Fingers crossed it won't be too much longer!
5. Bought a Warwick Fortress One 5 string off Andy. Can't fault a single thing about his service! Highly recommended!
6. Picked up the bass today. Really smooth deal and he even let me have a go on his Barefaced Midget cab (I'm seriously looking at getting one now!). I've left feedback in the feedback forum.
7. Somewhat interested in this. EDIT: Found an alternative, offer withdrawn
8. Just bought an Ergo off Mike. His communication was second to none, always prompt and he always kept me up to date on what was happening. As for packing, it took me 15 minutes just to unwrap the bass, so that should tell you something about how well packed it was! Can't recommend dealing with Mike enough!
9. So, I've been asked to play in a brand new blues/rock band and we're having a set list meeting tonight for an upcoming gig. The problem is I don't really listen to much of this type of this stuff. I know a lot of the older blues standards (Sweet Home Chicago esq stuff) but I know sod all about stuff like Rory Gallagher or even the more modern stuff like Joe Bonamasa. Anyone got any good songs in that vein that I should check out on spotify before tonights meeting?
10.
I'm not using the Ergo, I never quite managed to settle down with the 5th string (although I play 5 and 6 string basses) and I'm using the WAV4 whenever I actually do anything EUBish, so I've decided it's about time to try to move it on. I haven't got any piccies at the moment but it's one of these in a natural finish: http://www.ergoinstruments.com/EUB_5_String.html and includes the stand (which is pretty good). There isn't a case though. Looking for around the £450 mark plus shipping.
PM'd
11. Bought a Prunes and custard from Chris. The whole process was great. Communication was fast, he posted it quickly and packed it well. Highly recommended!
12. Quick dispatch, great communication. All round top guy to deal with. Highly recommended!
13. Darren sent the item out quickly and well packed. Excellent communication all throughout the whole process. Great person to deal with, highly recommended!
14. I aim to be like Tony Levin. Play the right thing for the piece. As such I only show off any chops if it enhances the piece (which is pretty much never). But that philosophy and a quick ear has meant that I can lend myself to lots of different styles and always learn new things. It doesn't mean that I don't try any push myself to learn the more complex stuff. It always helps to beable to pull it out of the hat if it's needed. Kit wise I usually play a 6 string as the extra strings are nice as get out of jail free cards if I have to wing anything. Style wise; I just enjoy playing so I'll play any style I get the oportunity to play so I can get more experience any widen my bass horizons.
