1. I think I get a P sound from my Jazz when I turn up the first filter a bit on my MarkBass SA450. I do like a P but inevitably reach for the Jazz. Just my personal preference I suppose.
2. Im getting rid of a few things to fund a 75RI. I swapped this neck for a thinner jap one. The tuners are the really chunky F stamped Schaller ones and there is a hipshot fitted as well. Great neck for a P bass as well. With the really top hardware, great condition of the neck and my gas for a 75RI Im asking £180 posted to UK.
3.
Why not just remove the active electronics?
I was hoping to sell the Marcus body at a later date and IMO my passive standard Jazz sounds much better than the marcus when it is passive. I'm just not getting along with active pups
4. I have conviced myself that my marcus miller neck needs to go on a passive jazz body. There are a few 3 bolt bodies around that look like they would fit the bill. I have moved 4 bolt Fender necks around with no probs in the past. Obviously the neck has micro tilt system and Im wondering if the 75 or 72RI bodies match up perfectly. My gut instinct says yes, but I wondered if any fellow chatters could forsee any probs. Does anyone know which Fender bodies match 3 bolt, is it just 72 and 75? Does drilling it to 4 hole seem a better idea, or would you drill the body? My thinking is to keep everything original at the moment in case I want to sell in the future. Thanks.

6. The OP Bop on Friday and then the Cellar Disco at the Union, followed by a kebab from Abduls. I went to University in Manchester 87 - 90. I found out in the last 2 weeks someone I knew in the first year went on to be the g&&&&&t in Radiohead. No skin of my nose I only do prog rock, Neil Young and alt-country. Now I'm watching Emimem mmm... and he's talkin' like a black man. WTF?????????? A Tipton accent would be more advised
7. Portishead, Iggy Pop, Lou Reed and The Ink Spots? and Dr Who and Gerry Rafferty. I like the start very much.
8. Just to clear a few things up. My original post wasn't the clearest. I was typing it out with half an eye on the apprentice! For sale is the Fender P body. With Schaller bridge, tort guard and wizzard thumpers included. £120 posted UK. I took the above pics with a standard US '97 jazz neck on with fender schaller tuners and a drop D hipshot ( Im giving this detail because I may move the neck on also) I don't know the weight ( I'll ask the mrs if we have got any kitchen scales tonight ) but I know this body is lighter than my '97 Jazz body. I originally put the bass together and added a jap 62RI jazz neck. Then I put the jap neck on my standard'97 US and a star was born. Im selling to fund a passive jap 75RI body.

10. Fender Jap body ( I won this on ebay for £70) last year. It was listed as Fender Jap and I assume it is although I cant see any stamps to prove 0r disprove this. Reasonable condition with one or two dinks that should show up on pictures. Body is light weight. Brand new Wizzard Thumpers installed (£50) Tort scratch (£25 ebay) Chunky Schaller bridge (£20 from this forum) This can all be yours for £120 posted UK. I don't use it and have more Jazz gas. Cheers.

12.
There's been some nice complete basses going on here for not a lot more than that eBay listing
Im no expert on prices, but a MM are about £800 new give or take a few quid. Bodies and necks at Stratosphere on ebay loaded or not seem to be £400+ each. There stuff all seems to be Jap reissue and a few years old. Stratosphere stuff does seem expensive thats why mine is fully loaded and £100+ cheaper. I suppose they are big enough sellers to let them roll around until they get sold.
13. Yes mate. I imagine my marcus neck on a jazz body with vintage pups and a baddass bridge would be my holy grail. I wont be happy until I try it. I never got on with active, Im too much of a noisy b£££££££d. Especially now with my Bergs my vintage jazz pups on ol' faithful sound great.
14. My new rig has changed my perspective completely, MB SA450 and 2xAE 112 Bergs. I hardly use effects anymore, just a bit of wah and phlange when our 2 guitar players double up on keyboards and I am the only "guitar" on certain tracks. Im picking my lines more carefully and really enjoying my new found clarity in the mix. It has moved my playing on again which is always a good thing. By far the best sound I have got is through my bog standard 97 Jazz. I tried a super Nordy bass through it and although it was a lovely guitar wouldnt have swapped it for my old reliable jazz.
15. One year old excellent condition MM body. You will all know about the spec and what they look like. The only thing missing will be the baddass bridge. I haven't seen just a body for sale but found this at stratosphere. 16. ask a silly question. How does the string adapter fit if there is no screwing or drilling?
17. I have a Marcus Miller im thinking of trading. Im only in West Brom. Might be interested?
18.
Hi, I am interested to buy the full bass, so with a neck included. Let me know if you want to sell it that way...
Will do. Thanks for interest.
19. Yes fully loaded with badass.
20.
Careful now. After our last liaison I added your sister to my Facebook. P.
More fool you. I am impressed you can spell liaison though.
21.
Trade it for a P you nonce. P.
You still haven't forgiven me for fiddling with you when you were a child have you. Errr .... Its standard natural ash I believe. I suppose I would be open to some speculative trades but 4 strings only. Remember Im from West Bromwich, just like my mate Paul h before he was banished.
22. I have not really thought about a price. Im not sure how prices equate when stuff gets split? If anyone has a guide price or you want to PM me thats great.
