Ashes to Ashes - Bowie. Just so economical and yet so funky and yet dark at the same time. Summed up 1980 perfectly...still gives me goose bumps 29 years later.

Back around '96, Performance Bike Magazine used some of our (Urban Surf) original songs on one of their `Video Nasties' - we got paid a nice little fee for that which was cool. I went round to a mate's house and he was showing his Dad the video and it was nice to be able to say `I co- wrote that'!

Just to keep you guys informed - both Owensy and I have contacted the seller of this bass to try and get some pics of it - it sounds as though someone has painted it themselves and if so, it will be interesting to see what kind of condition its in. Good idea Marcus but Music Live is a hassle in terms of where would we put all the basses!? I'm thinking about putting a bass bash on sometime next year - we could have a JD section there - get as many JDs together as poss.

Ah! I think your bass was actually up for sale at Wunjo Guitars (Denmark street) a couple of years ago - I played it (when it was the single p/up with the thumbrest!). Can any of the lads confirm this?
