this is very cool I am taking notes on your construction - on my midi switcher for a C4 synth I had perf board screwed to the lid and then headers - it wasn't great I'm messing around with a pi pico thing to try and make usb host switching possible rather than midi
  2. Has this been discounted? Ashdown CL310DH
  3. I have a friend who drives past Karlsruhe most weeks - issue is getting it back to U.K. and paying for the privilege !
  4. (but no promises yet)
  5. I've scanned through the thread and couldn't see - what time is start and end? I've to see how it works around the wean's dance lesson! If I do come I can bring a BCcab, I guess a H&K amp to put through it, a load of pedals, and 3 bass from Bravewood P, Sadowsky Metro Will Lee, Lakland 55-94 and the LeFay.
  6. It’s a few years old now but it def got mainstream music play - If by profound you mean social commentary it’s got a bit of that
  7. have fun with the router you're buying tomorrow!
  8. I'm guessing you don't work for the fire service?
  9. I still want to hear a comparison or something where someone goes "yeah it sounds better"
  10. I just accidentally bought one - it’s good, organic sounding, tracks down to low D and musical. Not as synthy as my memory of the mini bass octave from Mxr

PedalPCB do really good PCB layouts, and then fairly minimal parts list and Schematic... https://docs.pedalpcb.com/project/FrequencyInterchange-PedalPCB.pdf The PCB has the values on it I think?

Click through the build for the Vong - it’s the same principles start with small things and work your way up https://schalltechnik04.de/en/instructions/vong-filterung/5 go slowly, check orientation of things that have polarity. It is worth following which part is where on the schematic just because then you know where things are. go slowly, make sure each solder is good. when soldering the footswitch do each joint and then let it cool before doing the next

Black wires are ground. Or sleave of the Jack. orange wires are tip (or signal)

that's the PedalPCB version of a Broughton High Pass/Low pass
  15. is that he one where HP Wilfer claimed to have designed it all himself, and then got them to destroy the tooling?
  16. I had a very very well played streamer that I had the Alpher guys sort the frets on. barrel jacks do just go. other than that, message @warwickhunt last time I checked he had a few pre 91 streamers he was selling
  17. This!
  18. why wouldn't you compress after filter? Filter reacts to the input as normal, the signal kept under control a bit by the compressor?
  19. The Beta has a bit of a bass boost … so maybe a compressor with a high pass filter…?
  20. I personally think that most the tone from a guitar or bass comes from the TONEWOOD, I’ve done extensive RESEARCH on the internets so don’t have the TIM to argue with uneducated people about that. What I would do is combine the BEST of all worlds to create a amazing axe - the body would have layers of ash, alder and mahogany letting me access all the major guitar tones - and then I would want in layers a 5A* burl top, then 5A*flame maple then with 5A* quilt top - expensive but worth it by having all the tone woods it gives you. ALL THE TONES the fretboard I haven’t decided on but think maple under the D and G strings, wenge under the A and then Brazilian rosewood under the B and E string
  21. You’re missing v2! what date roughly will we find out about the new SA thing??
