  1. the thing is the P bass' beauty is its simplicity... the ingredients are fairly set, you can upgrade pickups and go for different sounds, or maybe better tuners ... but thats it. the simplisity means I think there's less variation between the sounds you would want, whereas jazz styles are a bit more variable.... so if you have a good P - why would you ever want or need to sell it? Even if you end up playing 6 string fan fret through neck d-tuner 4 pickup piezo equipped filter preamp at you jazz gig/pub - the P will do the P thing better than anything else - you you will keep hold of it....
  2. They do look good
  3. bit of a small box effect for you Ped
  4. I expect there’s a level where one person can get the freely available schematic and get together a pcb and make batches of decent pedals and sell at a profit - where a larger corp would end up sinking more money into R&D (in wages) and electrical testing and then need to sell cheaper so distributors can take a decent cut too… so the economic model might not be there… esp when there’s the risk behringer might come in with a £50 version. I hope he realises he will get as much interest from bass players as much as frusciante-worshippers
  5. Still lets you go to basket with it - do they cancel it later?
  6. Right on the tails of the brill sounding filter in the Source Audio Abstrakt, past FX go and release a shrunk down Moog MF-101!

  9. It's good, but it's still skinny strings...
  10. Honest question- what does the zoom give you that the helix couldn’t do?
  11. They had Little Simz, Fema Kuti, Laura Mvula and Michael J Fox, plus Burna Boy and JTS virtually
  12. There were on the bridges (I was looking) - and the horns just had a few duff notes
  13. Coldplay insane production quality. If you said I was listening to a CS I would believe you, I kinda don’t know if I believe much of it is actually being played live!
  14. Finally!
  15. so hold on a moment.... This is working on at least two levels isn't it? 1 There's an effects engine underneath that can do everything all at the same time if you want.... 2 And then the ability to assign what all the controls do on that patch... 3 and then the middle preset knob which I guess is preset that works as a starting place for "here's your crush tones", "here's your vinyl"
  16. that looks amazing from the video - my "digital shallow water" guess was pretty close! But looking at the neuro app - am I right @Quatschmacher that the video kinda undersells this?! it seems to be able to do so much! For bass I'm thinking ring mod, distortion/overdrive, filter, chorus, flanger, reverb, slapback, compressor, LPF and 10 band EQ (cab sim, though EQ points are guitar based) sound useful ... and I don't know what the envelope tab is, a mixer?
  17. Space echo up to Low-fi tape saturation, with an envelope filter like filter like the shallow water … that’s my guess
  18. Desktop UX is not so different to neuro 2 iOS it’s light years ahead
  19. it's good but obviously a beta! I've had a few crashes on iOS Desktop is good though (though not as big change)
  20. Randomly found this while laying in bed ill, it’s a pretty good decription to being a musician in a worship setting
  21. Screw press? Strawberry and cherry juice?
