I don't think i'd like a board without a decent cover/case. Do you have a gig bag for it or something? umcoo - I think building a feedback loop has to be one of the easiest projects you can do. Why not give it a try?

I've taken the BB off my board 'cos I never use it in any songs, but through the feedback loop it's great! The best settings on my feedback loop are whammy into OC-2 into Zoom B2 (for a little OD and a step phaser with rate control on the exp pedal) into bass balls into wah probe into ibanez SS10. I get weird pitch shifting with the wah probe, and cool rythms from the phaser and bass balls working together.

yeh, go for it! The reason I think I don't like the enhance features is because I want my limiting at the end of my chain, but I use a lot of distortion which sounds horribly fizzy with the enhance on.

I really don't like the enhancer on my LMB-3, but it is kinda good for tuning my passive into an active sounding bass. I just have the ratio set to limit the whole time, the enhance off, the level up full, and then play with the threshold. All the controls are useful if you ever use it for something else, so, I wouldn't not buy a pedal just because it has more knobs than you need! EDIT: I've tried the berhinger and it's just as good. The enhance feature was better, but I don't use that.

I'm using a WH4 for my octave up and downs now. I was using an XP-100 (an older whammy) which to be honest, give a miles better tone, but, i've swapped with my guitarist for practicality reasons. If you could find one of them, it also has a great chorus, and some cool wahs, and you can footswitch between patches, while bypassed! (can't do this with WH4) EDIT: You can get them for £80-£100 which is better than a new WH4 I think.

I'm deffinitely a band member first and a bassist 2nd. I'm probably better on guitar, and I never play my bass at home. Another example of my attitude is that I gig with 20+ pedals, but play acoustic guitar at home. The only reason I ever played the bass was because I thought I could contribute to the band with this instrument, so, the total opposite to you jamesemt!

I have a bit of a "different" sound, so I find it very difficult to get the right tone with anyone else's gear. I've played some nice Ampeg, Trace, and Ashdown rigs, and none of them could really give me what I need. I guess, if I had the money, and time to try gear, i'd probably agree with you though. -

I have had these kinds of emotional listening/watching experiences with all kind of music, but only once jazz. I suppose it's inprovisational nature does lend itself to a more emotionally musical experience in certain ways, in that the musicians are really "expressing themselves" as opposed to trying to play the right thing.

You can call anything jazz if you want to - radiohead are jazz-rock? It's a bit stupid though. I hate these endless classifications, genres and sub-genres. Just because something has some improvisation or some clever ideas in it, doesn't mean it's jazz, and who cares anyway? This thread should be called "god I love music".

I've not used it to be fair. I have merely heard of the idea of a Wiki, in that everyone can add things, organise it, correct mistakes etc, creating the perfect knowladge base. I suspect that only the mods can edit our Wiki though? Like I say, I haven't used it 'cos I generally see/get answers to my questions on the board.

I've never had the chance to play with a feedback loop before. I don't know if you've seen my board, but I have almost everything in the loop so when I hit the feedback button, it goes mental! with the feedback on, using step phaser on my zoom, I can make some really rythmic sounds, using my wah probe I can pitch shift, using digital delay just goes crazy, whammy and octaver are very cool and make computer type noises. All in all, it's really fun for f*cking about at the start, middle, and end of a set!

marshall jackhammer is good, plenty of eq and two modes, very tweakable creating loads of tones which are mostly usable!
