Haha! At least you didn't deliberately throw it down the bog. Or shoot it.
Don't shoot the radio, the bullet could ricochet and hit your armadillo.

Funny things that people say to you at gigs
ras52 replied to Tom Brookes Music's topic in General Discussion
A girl approached me at a gig once and asked what the big black box was behind me, meaning my old Trace 410 combo. I explained it was the amplifier and speaker where the sound comes from. "Oh" said she "I thought the sound came out of them black things" as she pointed to the pickups.
That's actually not too crazy, as them black things are in the same place as the soundhole on an acoustic guitar.... -
Sight Reading - Accidental Over Bar line Question
ras52 replied to dustandbarley's topic in Theory and Technique
What consensus? It looks to me like the red notes are supposed to be F# - especially given the "cancellation" of the F# by the yellow note's accidental - but I'd still want a courtesy accidental on the first red note to confirm that. -
Sight Reading - Accidental Over Bar line Question
ras52 replied to dustandbarley's topic in Theory and Technique
What Bilbo said. I'd expect the first red-circled note to have an accidental to avoid the ambiguity. -
Is it weird that although I don't have a clue what Bill and Alex are on about, I still enjoy reading it?
No.

I've just used this excellent guide to successfully perform my first neck shim - thank you! One word of warning - if you're leaving the strings on (I used a velcro tie), check that you haven't rotated the neck though 360 degrees before you screw it back on!
Just realised what this tutorial reminds me of http://youtu.be/ueHC7pgfYGU?t=94
Just seeing the title of the vid was enough, I didn't need reminding! My thoughts on the truss rod video were of the slightly more benign osteopathic variety :-)
More than 50 HD photos here: https://picasaweb.google.com/111501003985573850745/SchecterBaronBassCustomShopUSA1997
That leads me to pics of a Kramer...?
no mate, I'm in grey widow. This was our backline for our 2014 tour. Our september 2015 tour will be worse hahaha.
I see that's already enough to blow a drum kit over!
Sounds like a great bass! Must remind self that I don't *need* another bass... ;-)
N+1 where (N+1) < D
Oh, and pretty much anything by The Beautiful South. Especially that Jennifer thing.
Yes, the sound of smugness. Also, I used to like Prefab Sprout and The Divine Comedy. Since ripping all my CDs to iTunes, I now immediately hit skip whenever one of their tracks come up.
Ah, yes - any song on which they've deliberately pushed the autotuner too hard to give the vocal that horrible electronic warble. Seems to be de rigeur for a large proportion of top 40 artists, judging by the insufferable s***te I hear piped into cafes, bars, etc., and it just makes me want punch things.
Quite. And, for the opposite reason, anything by The Lighthouse Family. And the bit just before the solo on There Must Be An Angel.
I dunno.....how yellow is Husky pee?
As Nanook... he'd probably say it's like my old "clotted cream" used-to-be-Olympic-White Precision*. That's why they call them P basses * Maple neck, black pickguard. Of course.
My Yamaha BB feels like to should cost £ 600

I'm hoping that's a good thing? Not so good if it's a BB2024x
Hopefully it's a BB3xx or BB4xx. My BB425 (retails at around £300) definitely feels like a >£600 bass.
Cue observations about me playing with myself in the spare bedroom.
And to think that some people advise against connecting your music computer to the internet!
Set up a page on BandMix - you can post pics, audio and video (as well as listing 'influences' - which always seems pointless to me!) See link below.
I'm heavily influenced by bagpipe music. it's given me a very clear idea of the sort of sounds I wish to avoid in my music
The Jubilee School is just off Station Road, about ½ mile from Addlestone Station..! Are you sure you're trying at all..?
Yes, but how are people without access to Google Maps expected to know that that road leads to/from the station? Oh, hang on...
I'd rather not have left music college!

Because you'd have had to move to Truro?
No, because I loved it, and would quite happily have done another three years straight away!
