  1. Thank you for all the suggestions. I will mainly use it to even out the peaks and lows on my playing. I have noticed that whenever I play even my passive Alpher that I still have to use the pad on my amp as when I dig in even a little bit(fingerstyle), my cab starts farting out. Now I say this as I normally run a helix lt and that’s how I rolled for a number of years and have enjoyed the la compressor amongst other choices. I find it very subtle and transparent. But I find myself recently just plugging in straight to my amp and use a clip on tuner instead (bit liberating). Obviously I go back to the helix if I want effects(depends on which band I play with). But am just looking to simplify things and just get a compressor on its own that can run off a 9v battery. Less wires the better.
  2. I'm looking for a stand alone compressor pedal that is battery operated. Any suggestions? At the moment I'm leaning towards Zoom MS 60B just because it can be battery powered(I don't really need its other features). Any other ideas?

  4. Tecamp Puma 500 used but in good condition. Comes with a carrying case. 500watts @ 4ohms 300watts @ 8ohms Probably one of the best sounding heads I’ve ever owned. Only selling due to an upgrade. Asking for £350 posted. Or you can come around and try it with my Aguilar GS212(also for sale) or Genz Benz NX2 212t. Also can meet up up to around 50-60 miles from Worcester.
  5. Picked up a cab from Chris. Not the first time I dealt with him. Had a good geek out with basses. Awesome bloke. Deal with confidence!
  6. Selling my Aguilar GS212 600w 4ohms with cover. £400 NOW £300 It's in used but good condition. Only have used it for a handful of times in the last 3 years because of COVID. But the times that I have used, couple of rehearsals and 2 or 3 gigs, I've had no complains with the tone or volume. Only selling it due to changing form factor. Can deliver to up to 50-60 miles from Worcester or can meet up somewhere mid way I'm easy.
  7. My 2002 Lakland 55-94. Workhorse of a bass. Lightweight too. Only sold it as I moved to Alpher basses. Still wish I kept it and stuck it under my bed.
  8. The way I see it, it's a cost effective way of getting the B string to sound good on mass produced instruments. Also fashion.
  9. I agree with this. The only thing that was going against for me with Atelier Z was the weight of the one I used to own. In the end, I stuck with 55-94 for a number of years. That Lakland weighed less than 4kgs while the Atelier Z was 4.5-4.7kgs. But the tone of that thing. Oh boy
  10. Just out of curiosity, what run of the mill cab do you pair this with?
  11. Normally I'd say keep the BB but Fender Japan is something else. So........
  12. Love these basses. I had 3 of them in the past. Preamp is very useable. What a bargain!
  13. I forgot how my rig sounds. I've been GAS-ing for a different cab for the last couple of months. Took my cab out of the garage and hooked everything up. So in love all over again!
  14. Have to be Heistercamp Supersoft Leedon Tor for me.
