1. I'm going to be brutally honest. I'm nursing a semi.
2. Where would this forum be withour MB1
3. Yes - Manic Street Preachers. Probably my favourite song off The Holy Bible, a truely underrated album.
4. Well. You would have imagined it belonged to Keith Richards with the dates and the profession, and the fact he lived there about that time. There will never be concrete proof but the circumstantial evidence is huge!
5. I know. He didn't tell me the value of it, but im guessing its going to be in the tens of thousands of pounds. Any ideas?
6. They took it to a specialist and its a 57'.
7.
I love the guy, what a player, i also like Jay Kay. Just because they dont get along doesnt mean one of them has got to be a twat!. I have to say the descision on the LP Bass is a surprise, but my Local shop have this bad boy in It is a full on Gibo and with the barts in it it sounds amazing. A bit pricey for me at £800 ish but if it was a slightly more resonable price I would have it in a second. Mind you they also have a used Goodfellow Spitfire which shits all over it but that is the best part of 2K
Aroundabout Sound by any chance? The spitfire used to belong to the Guy that runs the shop, Mark Howell. He also has a Jazz Bass from the first month of production and uses EBS amplifiers. He's got a fair bit of gear! And is probably the best bassist i've heard. Anyhow, the gibson in there does look the dogs danglies.
8. I played an indie fakenbacker and an indie beast, some 6 string contraption. Build quality felt high on both, expeccially the beast. Don't buy an indie rickenfaker though, whatever you do!
9. I know. They thought it was old junk at first and i had to hve a look at it and tell them how ridiculously valuable it was.
10. My friend lives in a giant old house, which used to be a vicarage. Its pretty much a mansion. Anyhow, in the 60's, it was Keith Richard's country retreat, and he owned it for about twenty years. One day when my mate and his family were cleaning out the attic, they found a guitar case buried under lots of boxes. Inside lay a very old and virtually factory fresh Fender Stratocaster. They are keeping it untill he has to go to university, then its getting sold. Lucky b*stard!
11. Perhaps if it was a bit pointier. Have a bump on me
12. Dougal, you have a PM
13. Killjoy
14. Okay, sister has gone on holiday with the only useable camera. So pictures up by the end of the week when she is back! I am slightly more solvent now so i am open to trades
15. If you like the microcube, then i would advise a Roland Cube 30. Nice clean tone and some neat sounds to be had. For someone starting bass that Ibanez is ideal. I wish i could have afforded something like that when i started!
16. Once again, My offer still stands :brow: This will keep happening untill the bass is sold or the offer accepted!
17. No, thank god. I'm in a time of financial need and the bass has to go. I'm using a friends old bass in the time between the selling of this, me sorting my money issues out and getting another!
18. Dangerboy, you have a beaut!
19. Mokl, Thanks for the kind words. Its a great bass, it hurts that it has to go.
20. Bump. C'mon guys! Its a beaut!
21. Dear basschatters. Due to having no money at all, and in times i really need it, i am having to sell my one and only bass. This is unbelieveably painful. Its an Ibanez AFB-200. Plays like a dream, and these look the complete dog's danglies. Lovely tone, you can go from a quite double bass sound to a real thump very easily. Through a good amplifier this would sound awesome. Condition is good, one medium sized ding on the fancy binding on the headstock. Ibanez say: 'IBANEZ AFB200BS ARTCORE SEMI-ACOUSTIC 4-STRING HOLLOWBODY SEMI-ACOUSTIC BASS GUITAR BROWN SUNBURST The true full-hollowbody construction of the Ibanez AFB 200 BS Artcore 4-string semi-acoustic bass allows for full, resonant tone from the Maple body. A 3-piece Artcore Bass Mahogany/Maple set-in neck offers superior sustain than the bolt-on neck models usually found in the price range. 30.3" scale neck is perfect for players who prefer the vintage bass feel. Powered by twin high output ACHB-2 passive humbucker pickups. Pickup selector, Volume and Tone controls. IBANEZ AFB200BS ARTCORE SEMI-ACOUSTIC 4-STRING BASS GUITAR Neck: 3-piece Artcore bass set-in neck. NeckType: Artcore Bass Set-In. Body: Maple top/back/sides. Frets: Large frets.
