  1. Fancy a trade for an Ibanez AFB-200?
  2. Guys, i'm gagging for a rick copy. SO, if any of you consider selling, you know what to do
  3. I have a very similar ibanez (the afb) and they are great basses! Have a charming bumpola on me!
  4. My offer still stands :brow:
  5. D-basser, i've told you what i have for trade in a PM. If you change your mind thats still available!
  6. Its a really good lap dance!
  7. I reckognise this from somewhere Good luck with the sale mark! He's a top bloke to deal with fellow bass chatters. Best of luck with the sale!
  8. How about an Ibanez AFB-200 and one of my bestest lap dances :brow:
  9. Interested in trades?
  10. This will be bumped untill sold.
  11. A little, but in an odd way the depth of the body kind of offsets it. I've adjusted quickly, sounds great what jamming in blues scales
  12. oh c'mon, someone must want one of these?
  13. Will do, thanks burpster!
  14. Its a beaut, really smooth and has the thump of a bull elephant. I bet it would sound the true dog's bollocks through something like a markbass. Its got the standard roundwounds on it at the moment... that won't be for long though!
  15. So, anyone else done this? I've sold my VMJ. I've been saving. I walk into a shop, and the first bass i try, i buy! And amazingly no regrets! Even more amazingly, i wasn't looking for anything like this. I wanted something like a MM, so an ATK or something along those lines. What did i get? An ibanez afb200! Its genius, it sounds just like a double bass. I LOVE IT. I'll get pics up soon.
  16. Begins with B and ends with UMPOLA
  17. Fellow Baschatters. For sale is my trusty Orange Crush 35b. It is in box fresh condition, and a perfect amp for home use or small practice. Its just sitting around not getting enough use anymore. Its got a nice tone to it, perfect in my opinion for classic rock, a nice subtle entwhistle growl. The channel is called 'Clean thru overdrive', which would explain this. I can get a nice little slap tone out of it too, so its pretty versitile. Two of the knobs are changed, i swapped them with my VMJ to give the bass a more classic feel, and so i could see how i was set up to play! This is the only imperfection, be it completely minor and changeable They retail at £129 new most places, so i'll say £80 + postage. Pickup is an available option. What i really want is a multi fx i can plya into with headphones, ideally looking for an ME-50b, with some cash going your way. Also selling a behringer bass chorus. Good fun little pedal, can get some nice lush sounds out of it. £10 inc P&P Thanks, Parker
  18. Gypsy, I tried every setting and it just felt dull and lifeless. I had no attachment to it! AND WHAT DO YOU MEAN ABOUT DISCOURAGING SLAP? HERESY!
  19. How loud is it unplugged?
  20. Do you mean 'roughed up' basses? Like the vintage icon series perhaps.
  21. Gaf, the action was reasonable when i played it. It just felt lifeless. If i pick up a bass that i like, i almost feel like i am 'one' with it. But it just felt dead to me. Flat tone, not that nice to play, and the the pickup position made it impossible to slap!
  22. I just played it in store, he said that it was taken back and he re-bought it. I imagine its not been so popular!
  23. Correct, gafbass02.
  24. So, my basschatting friends. I was under the impression that these were the dogs danglies? I played a spoiler with brand new earnie balls on it and to say the least i was not impresed. It was an early 80's model, and it just sounded lifeless. Cost? £700. Anyone else have any experience on alembics?
