Fool for your Loving - Whitesnake - Help

Yep i'd rate all 3 up there in top 10 of all time great rock bassists. I'd forgotten about Mars Cowling. Thanks for reminding me. Got a few Pat Travers albums. Dave -

New Mesa Subway head - Further update with added snake oil

Its surprising how the different cab impedances confuse people. I'm probably lucky that i have an electrical and electronic background so understanding it was relatively easy for me. The chart does simplify it very well tho. I need to stop following you on BC Steve. I keep wanting to buy new Mesa gear 😂 Once the band starts gigging again i'm going to look at prices. Fancy that TT800 amp to give me 2 different EQ settings at flick of a switch plus that new Subway 215 cab looks the business and only 60 pounds in weight. That's approx a bag of sand from builders yard. That's a skoosh to lift. Do the TT800 amps come with a padded gig bag or just out of the box. ? Dave -
Your transcriptions have certainly helped me get thru Lockdown this year plus making me a better player as i polish up on the more difficult songs you've shared. Many thanks and all the very best for 2021. Dave

You've given me great advice and help with the Mesa gear since i started with it and its all been spot on so i'm hoping for good things from you again. I noted you will be using 2off 15" cabs. Is that what you normally use now and how do they compare with your older Powerhouse rig. Dave -

WOW Steve that's a belter of a set up. Looking forward to your thoughts in next few days. You've put me in the mood for the TT800 instead of the WD800. Having the twin channels allows me to set different EQ's for songs. Andertons doing good prices compared to other shops. Good luck and don't forget your ear-plugs. 😂 Dave -

I did start a Model Railways thread on here but we could open it up to anything railway related. The Model Railway isn't a busy thread as it stands so this might make it more interesting. Model Railways & Related topics - Off Topic - Basschat

WOW ..........Is that a custom version at that price ? Mine is the 4 string NT from 1989 that i've had since new original EMG's but had to replace the preamp with MEC one when the EMG one failed. If i was selling i would be looking somewhere in region of £1k - £1.5k and mine is in excellent condition having only done 5 or 6 gigs and a few rehearsals with no dings or marks on it. Jings that sounded like a sales pitch 😂 I've tried a few over the years but none compared to the late 80's early 90's basses in my opinion. Tried the Rockbass versions too and they were just cheap basses to me and had no character plus necks were just not to my liking. EQ was a bit boom and treble too altho it did have HB's rather than the EMG J's on my Thumb. Just make sure you try before buying and try and get as much time on them before you dish out the cash. Personally i love my Warwick but its a bit limited in use to certain styles of music in my opinion. Dave

Reckon pre-92 might be over the budget. Dave

Very nice playing indeed. Not sure where its coming from but the low end is causing a lot of vibration or distortion thru my headphones. Is it something vibrating in the room or overload at your end. I've listened to other bass tracks that are ok. Dave
