  1. Used to play this in a Friends of Deep Purple tribute act. Can see how my own notes fair against your Rob. Def a classic rock album. Dave
  2. Not long got mine and they are by far one of the best all round cabs on the market. Fantastic price. GLWTS Dave
  3. Thanks @Hellzero very much appreciate the heads up and the sentiment there. I was looking for one but having just bought a Mesa Subway ri gat over £3k i can't really justify a new bass as well. Lovely looking bass too but GLWTS. They are becoming quite rare and hard to find. Think your pricing is fair and i would have definitely taken it at that price. Dave
  4. Gorgeous. Had a WAL yrs ago and i def have a hanckering for another maybe once gigs restart. GLWTS Dave
  5. Some great songs there. Wee bit jealous. Dave
  6. I actually thought you were kidding but obviously not 😂 Dave
  7. Its John Deacon from Queen. I'm kinda guessing that's what you're clueless about but apologies if its not Dave
  8. who are they ? Seriously tho ???
  9. That's a bit of a disappointment in an expensive bass. Dave
  10. Have to say my Warwick Thumb NT is one of the best basses i've ever had so much that i've kept it since new in 89. Warwick were populat in late 80's as the new "IN" basses. Did try a streamer and i quite liked that too but that's what makes this such an interesting thread. It highlights how we differ in our taste of basses. Dave
  11. Do you mind me asking what it was you didn't like about the Ric bass @Muzz. I had one in 80's and just found the tone very limited. I do have a hanckering for another one but would obviously try before buying. Dave
  12. Our guitarist had 2 of them when he played bass in another band and he was telling me about them too.. Nice looking basses too. Dave
  13. You can but it doesn't quite have the same bite as a fretted. I am a Jack Bruce fan. There are some bass players that have done a great job using fretless in rock but for me its easier using a fretted to play rock. Dave
  14. I saw the ACG's at Alan's bass bash in Moffat when i was there a few times but his basses were always busy and just never got to trying one. I only came across him when i bought my Overwater 6er and someone mentioned ACG to me. Having never heard of ACG at that time i went with Overwater. I wasn't aware WAL made different necks but i'm no expert in WAL basses. Mine was the WAL Custom series.
  15. I go thru periods like that too. In 80's i had a fretless P then a WAL altho the WAL had a slector switch that gave you a click type sound similar to playing a fretted bass. I think it boosted a specific high frequency. I liked that. My Overwater has same. Also had a Jaydee fretless and Yamaha fretless but like you i get bored and lack inspiration mainly because its not the style of music i play in bands where a 4 string fretted just works better ........ for me anyways. Dave
  16. Some interesting ones there @Bigwan I bought my Warwick Thumb NT in 89 from Sound Control Glasgow. Tried the Thumb and the Streamer but preferred the Thumb probably because i was a Jack Bruce fan. The ACG's look amazing. Not actually tried one. I like the look and sound of MM but tried one when they appeared in shops years ago and the neck felt too wide for me. Your WAL experience did surprise me as i found mine very comfortable to play but had a dead note on G string which on hindsight might have been something simple but being young and naive and having no help from WAL i traded it for something else possibly my Jazz. Its amazing how we experience basses in different ways. Dave
  17. Nothing puts me off my food i was just kidding.😂 Dave
  18. And why not. Dave
  19. Not sure what hapened there but i posted that reply twice. 😁
  20. And here's me thinking you were a strictly 15 man. Have to say the 210 has quite a surprising low end. Far deeper than any other 210 cab I've ever tried. For me it covers the frequencies the 115 cab lacks very slightly with some of the midi. Dave
  21. I'm really looking forward to getting mine and the more reviews of the TT the better. 😀
  22. Have to say that's painted an image i wasn't expecting while eating my late dinner 😂 Dave
