    It's completely a tale of two basses. Alot of people may recommend the Stingray based on their experience, others will recommend the Warwick's, having owned both a 5 String Double Buck and a 5 String Stingray i can promote and demote them both from different perspectives, i will ask you though have you been able to sit down with both basses and have you road tested them accordingly? if so which one worked out best for you? Both basses have strong individual merits, but i will say that i no longer own either bass as neither really worked for me in the long run, in truth no Warwick or Musicman has stayed with me long except my two vintage Wicks which are a whole different story altogether, however if this is all about opinion and constructive recommendations then i can only suggest you play them both at any given opportunity even if you have to get on a train or travel to try them *the train fare or petrol will no doubt be less than the money you'll lose on a sale if you don't like it* and compare them against one another on a like for like basis.

    Yeah mate the Warwicks are and always will be awesome, just bought Streamer number 196 from 1984 from Germany last week! I'm over the moon with it!

    What i don't understand is the whole Fender Vintage thing, its almost expected that if you buy a Fender Bass say from the 70's its perfectly acceptable for the bass to be beaten to hell, scratched, paintless, dinged, dented and call it Mojo'd *lame*, yet i have a 24 and 26 Year old set of Warwick Streamers in pretty much perfect condition and i am absolutely certain that i will maintain their appearance and overall quality for at least the next 10 years keeping them almost mint for my own collection or potential re sale value. I can't understand it when someone spends alot of money on a bass just to mistreat it, a cheap Japanese £60er sure, but anything over a couple of hundred quid? surely its in your interest to look after it?

    They are quite expensive, even my second hand one was about £45, I use a Ritter Double Gig bag which is fantastic and i thoroughly recommend them, but be prepared to pay for one.

Hey All, After much thought i'm going to let go of this fantastic bass, it's been my "at home" bass since i bought it, but i just don't see myself ever using it live or in the studio anytime soon and as i'm spending less and less time at home to sit and relax with it i'm going to let it go to someone else to save it from a life of collecting dust in my rack, Its a fantastically playable bass as all the online reviews and owners of them will tell you, the pickups are surprisingly fantastic sounding and the neck is a dream. I have a quick recording with me playing the bass on the only song on my myspace - www.myspace.com/callandbenedict Only very very slight markings on the back of the bass, nothing that wouldn't buff out certainly no chips or dings. I have put fender black knobs on the bass for that more vintage look and i will include the chrome originals. I'm wanting what i paid for it which was [s]£195[/s] [color="#FF0000"]£150[/color] + £15 postage including Warwick Nylon Bag and Fender strap, or you can collect from the Portsmouth area, i will get the boys in the export and despatch department at work to ensure its well wrapped up and road ready. Thanks!
