1. An absolute bargain waiting for someone here!
2.
Don't really fancy taking steel wool to my bass, i think i will use the lemon oil but id like some recommendations as apparantly alot of lemon oils out there are far from pure and have all kinds of rubbish in them. What is the dunlop 65 stuff like?
Thats what i use, its about £5 at the guitar shops and i bought mine 3 years ago and its still half full! Worked wonders.
3. That's a fantastic looking setup! Congrats! I did the same recently I sold all my old Warwick Streamer basses and my Hartke stack, bought myself my Dingwall as my main bass so reliable I would never need a back up and a little Markbass Cab setup that weighs next to nothing but sounds HUGE. I know your feeling!
4. As I'm now strictly a one bass man "until I buy another Dingwall" I do not need my Warwick Guitar Stand, I have owned this since new, it's used but in great condition all Foam is intact and everything as it should be, holds 5 basses or 5 guitars as to your preference! Pics on request. Postage of about £5.00 should cover it. Cheers
5. I wouldn't use wax on the neck full stop, the openess of grain from the Wenge and ovankol will collect little bits of the wax that will discolour over time, definitely best to use some Lemon Oil i used a sponge to apply the lemon oil on all my Warwicks when i had them and they all looked brilliant even after just one application you'll see the difference.
6. SOLD pending. Bought this from our forums very own lee650 last year it's a fantastic quality gig bag that safely houses two basses at one time in seperate padded sections! Bought this to house my two Warwick streamers that I no longer have and my Dingwall came with it's own case so this really is surplus at the moment. Fantastic condition, incredibly durable, £40 Posted. Pictures on Request.
7. Bargain! for £150 you really can't complain!
8. My Current Rig to all of those who didn't see it on my Dingwall Thread! sounds spectacular!
9. Just bought Chris's Markbass 102P cabinet! He posted it quickly and packaged it very well! Great coms throughout! Fantastic! Cheers mate.
10. Updated rig shot added! its scary how good this sounds together!!
11.
Interesting, looks like she manages to make it over to London every couple of years then?
Yeah she does and she always plays bizarre nights in London, never a Friday or Saturday night! I don't think I have been able to see her yet! Might have to take a day off work and stay with my girlfriend in London this time though as I don't want to keep on missing her! She'll be so awesome live!
12. Withdrawn, completely come to my senses, no way am i parting with this its far too awesome, i'd rather live on beans for a month.
13. Hey guys, Looks like i'm buying a Markbass combo this weekend and i now need to very reluctantly sell this head to help pay for the damage to my bank account. Bought this off Iscolman last year and it has been nothing but incredible, amazing sound, insanely powerful, played through my 4x10 and 2x10 the volume was no further than 1.5 in practice or for gigs it just shook the room to pieces, fantastic. This is a truly reluctant sale, with a new combo enroute i just can't afford to keep it. Comes with original power supply, padded carry case, and manuals. Would like what i paid for it which was £300 and it will cost possibly £25 to post it or you can of course try it out and collect from Portsmouth. Payment by paypal gift or bank transfer. Pictures - cheers, Ben.
14. I'm definitely going to pick this up, what an excellent idea!
15. That must sound incredible! loving the badge too!
16. Rettoglide1 is Mark King?
17.
this bass is as old as me, and in beautiful nick!! good luck with the sale Dave
Thanks Dave, with a bit of luck its off to France today or tomorrow and i'm going to miss it big style its a fantastic bass the new owner should be ecstatic with it.
18.
has anyone seen the 5 string hollowbody on bass directs website? crikey... time to start saving i think
I played that when I was at bass direct it's incredible, just couldn't afford £3000! One day!
19. This has now sold pending payment. It's off to Le France! Bon.
20.
Can we see it without the pickguard please?
Of course I'll get some photos sorted out tonight it looks stunning with and without it.
21.
Hey Ben Love the new dingwall, great colour ( i used to have a green streamer lx i loved it) ive really wanted to play the fanned frets for a while a fantastic idea!!! one question are you (like me) leaving warwick all the best - lee
Hey Lee, well yes almost, I just found myself incredibly curious with the Dingwalls I was very interested with the fanned fret system I'm a furniture designer so I deal with ergonomics on a daily basis, what I found when I tried the Dingwall was that the Novax system actually bloody works and fantastically so, the bass is the most comfortable I have ever played and the tone thanks to the custom pickups and individual string lengths and tension is something I have just never heard before, if playing Dingwalls means I have to abandon standard basses then I'd be happy to do so cause this bass is fantastic, oh and it sounds great through that Markbass head Cheers
22.
I'm guessing its stuck on with double sided so if you ever want to take it off you don't have any ugly holes in it
not quite nothing is holding it on yet as I'm still very undecided on the finish I'd hate to ruin the green!
23.
Are the scratchplate screws extra?
Not quite, I'm waiting for some black ones to come, however the bass without scratchplate looks incredible so I'm not even sure I want to permanently drill screw holes in the finish... Might just keep it for my next one!!
