1. Just a note to say this is on hold pending a trade on sunday.
2.
What "...pic of the bass on its side"? One of our Euro cousins will most likely snap this up.
Ooops it would seem I've not linked that particular photo through! That's a job for the morning! Yeah according to my watch list there's quite a lot of interest on the bay, I'm in reality giving the bloody thing away but needs must and I have to buy a 5 string!! Got my eyes on a super jazz or Dingwall combustion! Hope the bass goes to a good home though I really do!
3. Just to quickly say before bed the bass is now on eBay if someone wants to swoop lower than £950? Link is here http://wap.ebay.co.uk/Pages/ViewItem.aspx?...201&emvcc=0 Cheers!
4. Likewise I'm very surprised this hasn't been snapped up it's gorgeous!! After my Stage 1 sells on eBay or the forum I'll be in the Market for a new 5 string so colour me interested at least!
5.
Wow, thats all I'm going to say add me to the list of people who are interested if you wake up tomorow and its suddenly a lefty!
Haha at this rate i'm going to swap the strings around and re list!
6. New Images as requested by some folks! Does nobody fancy this?!
7. Bump to say all PM's have been replied to, interesting offers but nothing to bite.
8. This post cannot be displayed because it is in a forum which requires at least 1 post to view.
9. 09.04.10 Bump for a crazy sunny price drop. Just bought another new bass and can't afford to have all these basses kicking around, unforetunately this is the only one i can bring myself to sell just now. Bass + Original Hardcase + Original Gig Bag = £950 I must be insane.
10. 300310 Edit* Now accepting Trades, would very much welcome fretted Jazz basses of any kind.
11.
Sadly, nowhere in Denmark St. I'd recommend the Gallery in Camden & that's about it for London....
+1
12.
230 views and not a single comment... this means bad news for my friend. Is there anything wrong with this bass ? Is requested price too high (I haven't the slightest clue, never dealt with Gibson basses before) ? Comments are more than welcome, as usual. Thanks everybody.
I can imagine there is nothing wrong with the bass i had a quick look in this thread as i personally haven't seen a lot of Les Paul basses so i thought i'd take a quick look! Good luck with the sale though!
13. Just giving this a quick lift for interest as i'll be away this weekend, i can still pick up PM's on my iPhone though.
14.
I like the look of the Sansamp pedals myself. Danelectro pedals look cheap and nasty, usually, and I'm not a fan of EHX big box pedals, particularly the ones with the "electrocute yourself at home in 2 easy steps!" power adaptors. We need more effects like this: http://www.deviever.com/
+1 Awesome!
15. PM's replied to, just so no one else asks the Stage II is not for sale.
16.
Please make this left handed and I will put the money in your account now.

There you go, did both. Bank details will be in a PM
Haha PM not recieved! All PM's should have been replied too. Thanks.
17. New sale price of £950. Still Considering Trades. If this doesn't sell here i think i'm sending this to the gallery for a fret job and refinished in all over white gloss! Hi All, [s] I'm not mad don't worry, but i do have the opportunity to buy a dream bass of mine and i need to let this beautiful girl go before i grow to attached to it and so my bank balance doesn't suddenly look scary after another big money drop.[/s] *Edit* I passed the other bass up but thought i would put this back up to see whats out there i can do a sale or will entertain trades, specifically looking for a fretted bass as the fretless is fun to play its not terribly practical for my live work and studio work. I bought this Warwick a few months ago from Germany from a private collector and its an incredible example, all original and for a 26 year old bass is as good a condition as you'd want to find. The model itself is an early Streamer Stage I NS Design, with the old Spector style headstock stamped number 196, it was handmade in approximately 1984 perhaps earlier, certainly manufactured before the Ned Steinberger and Spector legal battle where Warwick were made to print Licensed by Ned Steinberger and Spector on their control plates and Truss Rod covers. All hardware is original, featuring brass nut and brass bridge with gold control knobs. The body wings are Cherry Wood, and the neck through neck construction is a multi laminate of Wenge and either Cherry or Maple stringers, the blondness of the timber leads me to think its Maple as Cherry is naturally more Honey toned in appearance especially when its this age the finger board is Ebony and is unlined, the bass does feature side dots, the bass features an original EMG Circuit and EMG pickups. The bass is exceptionally thin and light, i can get an estimated weight if you need it, but it is half the size and weight of my stage II, its seriously light as a feather, please see the pic of the bass on its side to get what i mean. The bass will come with an original fitted flight case which is seriously heavy duty. The bass has no complications, neck is straight as an arrow, intonation all over the neck is superb and spot on, no crackle from the input or pots, and the Truss Rod works as you'd expect. A damn fine example and if my dream bass hadn't just appeared this wouldn't be going. Looking for £1150 Posted or trades. I can take any photos you'd like, and invite you to come try the bass, its currently with me in Portsmouth. Thanks.
18. Hopefully and with fingers crossed this situation will never happen to me. Sounds like you need to try radical new bands and new musical ventures and try not to give up on the instrument just yet even a master always has things to learn.
19.
Another option would be to keep your old screen etc , and get a newer Mac Mini ,
A Mac Mini will not be powerful enough to use as a platform for recording music, Garageband especially the computer and memory usage by this program is substantial, the G5 Tower will be absolutely perfect for your needs, the iMac's are fine, but G5's were designed for Designers and Musicians and the processors will keep the machine alive and kicking when you need it most, I use a Mac Pro at work and if you had a spare £3000 i'd recommend my current work setup but as thats not the case i'm positive the G5 will do you proud, and you'll find the two hard drives a god send. At home for recording i use a Mac Book Pro and i use a Tascam US21L interface which is USB, zero latency only when using the Mac Book's Fast USB port *left hand side* if you plug it in the right hand side you experience a couple of milli second latency issues which will throw you off if you're monitoring through the software, but the Tascam has a direct input control so that does for Monitoring. VST's are widely available and very usuable most PC Cubase VST's will transfer across seamlessly as will your Cubase Projects, Logic is a fantastic audio recording and mastering solution though and should be looked in to, Apple also have their own VST style instrument plugins that they call AU's or Audio Units *just to be awkward* and these can be used in Garageband and Logic, I'm also very sure some clever coders have created a AU to VST and VST to AU software so they can be interchangable. Hope thats of some help, if you have any questions feel free to PM me.
20.
A picture could clear this up? I'm thinking it's not a German made 'wick though...
+1 not with Rockbass on the headstock.
21. When i first got my Fretless and a couple of months back before i'd even recieved it i had booked it in for a fret dress at the Bass Gallery in London, but after just 1 practice with the Fretless i was sold on the sound and feel and the next day sacked off the appointment. I tend to use my fretless for my more funky numbers, i don't make it sound like an upright, i don't slide around on it, use vibratos, but what i do find is that the flatwounds and fretless neck give the bass a unique percussive ness which is great for my muted staccato style on some numbers think Me'Shell Ndegeocello style finger grooves, i do however adopt a different fretting position which has helped my hand technique on the fretted bass no end! You play more parallel and finger technique comes under real scrutiny as you have to push down on to the neck with more force to complete solid notes and jump between the notes with more aim and elegance i suppose, its a real technique refinement. There are a million merits for both instruments and i love playing them both, i'm going to do a comparrison between my two basses soon as people have asked me to give them sound clips so i can post them up on here and you can hear the subtle yet distinctly unique differences between the two.
22. Just a heads up to say Warwick have announced a new Robert Trujillo Signature yesterday! Pics and Info here.
23. Oh god, another one? can't these fraudsters not just leave the Warwicks alone?
